Effects Style - Starlight - Name changed from "Effects Style - New 03" to "Effects Style - Starlight".

I wonder what this is, but it sounds like something that'll make a lot of people happy. New version of the starlight glyph?

Technically, its just as likely that it features the last new zone/faction of the expansion. Which normally, not all patches do. The only exception here is Shadowlands.
If this is the last raid this becomes the expansion with the least amount of raid encounters ever, even beating WoD in that regard. The only thing I can think of is they want to somehow get back to summer releases like Legion and BfA, and to compete directly with FF14's next expansion. That would make me very sad having to pick between the two.

Wait until you're reminded that Odyn tends to take a "loyalty or else" mindset, a la the unending mess he caused with Helya.
confirmed by my uncle nitnendo and masahiro samurai

I actually like underground zones, especially when you can enter them through tunnels like Zaralek. Makes the world seem more 3D, like the ground isn't just a flat texture above an infinite void.
They could essentially add some of those "air locked" (thats how the devs referred to them) holes to Azeroth. If all of the new expansion zones are linked under Azeroth, they could drop a few different exit areas that go to different part on the surface of Azeroth. So imagine on the new expansion map the northern zone has a massive Nerubian Kingdom with an exit/entrance tunnel linking it to Dragonblight, then a massive Titan city/engine/world soul zone with the bottom of Sargeras's sword poking through the ceiling that has an exit near Silithus, could do deep dwarven ruins under Grim Batol and come out in EK, maybe a Kobold city, etc.

It could be a way to link a bunch of distant zones together. Imagine flying down through Azjol Nerub at 800% speed, rip across a few new zones and coming up in Silithus or something.

You're saying he's forcing the storm drakes to stay loyal to him? Wouldn't be out of character

I know they clarified in 2023, but honestly.. I kind of expected their roadmap to be it even when it was announced. two major patches. I don't think that's bad. Especially if it avoids a patch like the end of BFA, which was not my favorite at all.

More small raids feels like there is more raid content than one giant raid, even if that isn't the case from number of encounters standpoint.
I would actually raid more often if raids were solely 1-3 fight deals. I don't think they should have ever been treated as a huge dungeon fortresses. Makes them a pain in the ass to travel around in and also get tired of the aesthetic after 2-3 bosses.

I still don't know why they stopped the unique instanced 1-2 boss fights as they were my favorite to pug around in for a quick good time.

Not gonna lie, a dinar system being back would make getting certain trinkets a LOT more bearable.
    Paladin Bash has spoken.

Dinar should be from the start of an expansion and act like how the tier crafting is now except maybe a week or 2 longer than it is now and 1 every few weeks to make it not too OP

Yeah, that's intriguing. Effects style? I'm wondering if they are doing spell customization for Balance spells? While I havent checked out the ptr, they've got to be using new spell effects for the druid of the flame version of druid spells, right?
So maybe Starlight is the default cosmic magic druids use, and there will be an option for flame variant (and maybe nature magic, considering we are spending time in the EMERALD FREAKING DREAM)?

Speaking of druids, any hint that they have plans to or have given Glyph of Stars the same treatment as the Shadowform glyph (lessened the intensity of the form appearance)?

I don't know if this means anything, but I did find this little tidbit in Wowpedia about the Storm Drakes

At BlizzCon 2015, the storm dragons were described as "a fledgling new dragonflight". This idea that they were a new dragon type was abandoned rather quickly, as the storm dragons are said to have existed since ancient times.
This is speculation on my part, but with this context it gives the idea that the Storm Drakes were probably something Tyr created but were abandoned (either because he saw them as a failed experiment or that he died before he could continue working with them)... Either way, Odyn finds them and tries to put them under his control out of fear they might turn violent and disobedient.

Which leads up to where we have to free them with Vyranoth.

As much as I'd like to see alternate spell effects like a Druid of the Flame option, that seems to just be part of the Moonkin customization. You can choose a glow effect and color.

I REALLY (REALLY!) hope they have a good explanation if 10.2 is indeed the last major patch of the expansion. i don't care about 10.2.5 and 10.2.7, those patches are not actual content imo. they charged people 10 more dollars only to deliver the lowest amount of content they've ever made

It's pretty obscene how much crap druids get.
