Probably not positive. World Trees are massive conduits for corruption, they invite a lot of danger. But our last interaction with Aman'Thul was quite positive, he complimented our efforts and called us children of Azeroth - maybe he's more open minded these days.

    Yes, that's a no brainer.

What is the ONE theme Blizzard could announce at BlizzCon 2023 that would immediately make you say, "yep, I'm done?"

In that case the Emerald Dream probably is the "Life"-equivalent of the Shadowlands, created by the First Ones or such. Presumably gaining it's "anima" whenever a creature is born in the Azeroth (or other planets) dimension.
We had indications that the Titans merely found it rather than create it much, much earlier. By the time we actually met Freya that was already an open question.

I predict WoW will be released on Xbox somehow -- in the future.

I'm not opposed to any particular theme. As long as they keep the First Ones and all that Zereth nonsense confined to Shadowlands, I'll remain open-minded.

Sounds plausible to me, and I've seen others pointing out this theory before (Taliesin).
A large part of Warcraft's storytelling strength comes from it's diversity of cultures.
This is my please: not to westernize or modernize every single playable race and culture in Warcraft.

I don't know enough about Elun'Ahir to dispute that, so I'll just say anything's possible. But what would be the story implications of that being the case?

    Aman'Thul was justified.

While I loved Legion, I actually hated the final patch on Argus. I was so done with the theme at that point. If we go to another planet again I'll probably just play classic and skip the xpac.

    I've explained it multiple times in multiple posts throughout this thread. In short, Dragonflight is wrapping up multiple dragon aspect storylines from Cataclysm as we speak, and the only main character from Cataclysm missing from Dragonflight is;

The first two have a good track record

The third....the incarnates are elemental but the elements aren't the focus
They aim for titan stuff or void stuff
It's only now we're seeing an elemental lord

And Thrall on the key art, Khaz Algar being likely underground, and the fact that Primal Incarnates are dragons, not elemental lords, or elementals.

And that's a good point as well. The fact that now we're dealing with Smolderon and the firelands at the end of DF is an interesting development that coincides with the other evidence we have.

Well. For one, it seems like Elune had a hand in the creation of the World Trees right from the start. History is a bit messy, and we don't know why Elune gifted Eonar a branch of G'Hanir when Eonar's servant Freya was the one who created the tree. Why didn't just Freya give it to her?
She called the tree Elun'Ahir, in honor of her great love.

When Aman'Thul saw what Eonar had done, he chided her. "This is not Order!" he bellowed. "You have infected this world with uncontrolled chaos!"
The Highfather took hold of the world tree's trunk and tore it from the earth.

Eonar wept bitter tears that rained down upon the resulting crater.
But as she peered down upon the sundered earth, the titan realized a truth she did not share with the Highfather. Though he had destroyed the tree, its winding roots still held firm beneath the soil, hidden from Aman' Thul's gaze.
The reason for the retcon is so that the writers can have another lead female character dissent from her team's ethos for the sake of an emotional bond with another powerful female in order to prove that love and forgiveness can overcome the problems created by arbitrary and narrow-minded divisions.

See Alexstraza and Vyranoth, Shandris and Lilian Voss, Tyrande and Elune in SL, Jaina and her mother, etc.

To little information to reach any meaningful conclusions.

There is no retcon. Claims that Freya didn't create the Dream have existed for a long time in-universe.

I wish people would evoke occam's razor more when criticizing the writing: The bigger reason is to explain why world trees exist at all without contradicting the lore that already exists.

I'm not really sure there is one if BFA/Shadowlands didn't do it.

Maybe Elune being the ultimate big bad of Warcraft and the one behind the Jailer?

    Light BAD.

Specifically Yrel gets out of a portal dropped by Medivh or something and attacks the Horde and the Alliance has to save them. I will pass. Cool with Light AND Void being dicks, cool with picking one or the other, cool with some Light characters being corrupted or shit again but not saving the Horde from Yrel. Thats my line in the sand.
