I hope we get 10.2.5 news at Blizzcon. I want to know if they're adding more druid or paladin races.

    Somehow, ercarp returned.

Probably that, but I like to think it was the reveal of the augment rune as well (for its implications)

10.2.5 is going to be SO big, we won't even need an 11.0 announcement.

Ideally we get a new roadmap with multiple patches leading into the expansion launch in Summer...ideally.

10.2.5 is the real world revamp.

    We'll never see it coming.

Yeah, would not be surprised given the current road map ends with 10.2, suspiciously leaving out 10.2.5 which we know for a fact was at least planned to exist way back in 10.0.5. A new roadmap starting with 10.2, then 10.2.5 and a possible 10.2.7 (depending if they moved stuff around or not/have pre-expansion things to announce) leading into 11.0 would be my bet with a post 11.0 roadmap appearing after 11.0 releases. Can't wait.

Unfortunately, sarcasm is a lost gem.

The Roadmap has said "2023" all year. I think December would be too soon for 10.2.5

This is also why I expect 2024's roadmap to be similar. "10.2.5" in winter. "10.3" between Spring & Summer. Pre-patch in Fall. Expansion release & Anniversary celebration same time as 10.2 but next year. I don't know why they'd try this new content release schedule where they put all non-seasonal content in minor patches just to resign themselves to having the same content drought as normal, especially when that content drought equates to loss of subscribers. Finding a way to avoid that biannual sub loss would be my #1 priority if I were Blizzard but that's just me.

Isn't that just the Naked Rexxar model but with bits on top now?

Also the text is filled with errors. Defense is misspelled in the first sentence.

    Defence is technically correct.

I.E. It's a feasible mistake to see defence get through a spellcheck and and initial proof read.

It's fake, don't get me wrong. But that isn't, on it's own, a deal breaker.

There's numerous grammatical errors, on top of using EU preferences spellings like "defence", that just stuck out to me even more because it's right at the start.

I mean, I'm almost positive the background is a zoomed in and cropped version of the Dragon Isles

100%, if there is more content after 10.2, we will be hearing about it at Blizzcon.

Everything points to 10.2/10.2.5 being the end of the expansion and if you want to talk overall health of the game than the absolute best thing they can do is move on to 11.0 as fast as they can.
By every source of data that we have DFs playercount is not much higher than the darkest days of SL and pretty much the only thing that brings back lapsed players are expansion releases.

As for Subscriber loss in the first half of 2024..you can expect 1.15(Vanilla fresh/Classic+ whatever they will call it) possibly releasing as soon as December but definitely early in 24 and Cataclysm classic probably in the late spring.

I know that Wavewhisker mount as 11.0 speculation has heavily simmered down, but I just realized it's "Elven Saddle" is nearly identical to the saddle from the Silver & Purple armor option on the Windborne Velocidrake. Not that there was much weight to that speculation still, but that should cool it off nearly entirely.

Neat. Can they bring back scrolling quest text while they're at it?

I wonder if they're planning on experimenting with FFXIV/GW2 style story updates to tie to the next expansion while still having another fated season so there's some sort of content untied to storylines that would just utilize what's already there space wise in regards to zones. So a 2.5 that's a fated season probably some class for every race and then a sizable quest chain to set up whatever comes next untied to the other things.
