IMO the only way of getting an Underground expansion (we are not getting one, but just for the sake of discussion) would be if it is just another continent, but underground, with its own sea surrounding it, its own peculiar very big and open sky which we cannot reach.

Yeah, I was abit disappointed when I didnt get it, but my sub ends at the end of Nov if the expansion announcement is trash to me then I wont be renewing so its not a big loss,

Can I move on? Certainly I have over 1600 games in my backlog to play.

Ironically, an underground expansion could be your favorite expansion ever, and you're not even giving it a chance.

Your choice of course. I would just say if it does turn out that 11.0 is underground, don't throw everything away, just sit out an expansion and come back in 12.0.

I know for a fact I wouldnt enjoy it, while I enjoyed Vash'jir in Cata I hated Deepholm and then Zaralek came and I've hated that place too.

We’d sooner get another cosmic / inter-planetary expansion than an underground one I think.
Blizz has shown that they can do cosmic / inter-planetary right through expansions like Legion.

Yet I don’t think there’s been any well received underground content.

WoD had 5 million during its content drought & that content was poo poo garbage: The worst era of the game possible. Dragonflight is a lot better than that. So yeah: It's safe to say it has at least 1 million: If it dropped below that Blizzard would immediately change its marketing strat. We'd already have Diablo 4 style microtransactions.

This isn't so weird. Streamers who spend all their time leveling characters periodically delete a ton of characters.

But I would say as someone who plays both Wrath & DF: The wrath players are constantly complaining about retail...even though they haven't played Dragonflight at all. There's such strong nostalgia blindness because Wrath is far from perfect.

Come on we all love WoW to bits in this forum, but it is natural to talk about our worries about the game. It is clearly a delicate moment for WoW. It is an almost 20 year old game. What it has achieved and what it still manages to achieve is insane, but if Blizzard does not play its cards well with 11.0 its downfall could be swift.

Today the great purge happened, I went from 36 characters down to 3, no attatchments.

Impressive! I got myself down from like 46 to 40, but haven't done nearly the amount you have.

Tbh, I don't think they will do a "Zaralek Caverns" expansion so soon after this patch. It would be like "Orc/Daemon" fatigue but worse. Deepholm atleast was nice looking with the lightning and crystals, but ZC is just depressing as hell.

? ESO is buy to play. You have to buy the game and buy the expansions and even buy the DLCs. You don't need to sub but it is not f2p.

More focus on cosmetics and various ways to gather them is my hope. More ways to consume old content in new ways also wouldnt hurt.
Timewalking needs to be more in-depth, and preferably incorporate old zones and systems as well as the dungeons and raids.

Ship based expansion might be a bust now that BfA is done, but maybe the backside of Azeroth could be the South Seas expansion I always wanted.

Idk how popular that would be, but if the next expansion puts focus on the World Soul, it'd be good if Azeroth gets to actually interact with us rather than through Magni.

They don't have to give her a full fledged personality, or model, or set voice actor, but she's supposed to be a character we are meant to feel protective of but because the only interaction we get with her is through Magni, she feels completely detached and non-existent.

Just some distorted words and whispers like with Argus would be enough.

Why? New Expansion announcements are always more hype than patch reveals. Most normies buy the Expansion, play the initial and maybe last patch and that's it. And there is literally no reason to drag the Expansion out with another raid now that we have the chill fated system anyways.

Undermine is a massive port/trade city, so it is likely surrounded by an underground sea that leads to the ocean. In addition, I could see how it would be possible to have openings in Undermine’s ceiling that allows air travel in an out of the cavern, so it’s entirely possible that portions of the sky are visible from the city.

Don’t think so but I might be wrong. I do know that it had one of the existing Uld-names before they were reused. Either Ulduar or Uldum I think.
If I remember correctly the Titan continent was bigger than Kalimdor in original concept too.

But yeah I think it could be cool if it’s part of what we get west of Kalimdor. Maybe as the remaining Uldaz or something.

Every time i see this map and get reminded that Nazjatar has been planned since 1999, i get more angry about the little speck of dirt they presented to us as Nazjatar in BfA.
