Can? maybe. But the other image that OP posted outed the first image as fake. OP was a 2-post account so I linked a post that actually shows off the image.

Apparently there are two portals slots on the extended Stormwind portal room without doodads on the PTR.
Amirdrassil and 11.0 capital, or something else?
That’s a bizarre position to take considering that it doesn’t (yet) exist, and it’s never been done before. Further, apocalyptic mechanical threats are a rather common trope in fantasy and popular media. Why do you feel it wouldn’t work in WoW?

Uh where did I ever say that something I didn’t like was garbage, or that people who liked said content were some type of sheep?
Exactly. And this is the reason why we wont be in a cave or fighting mainly elementals. I am pretty sure they want a crowd magnet theme. An "OMG BADDIE KILLING TIME" theme. Like... super crazy void lord f'cking up half of azeroth and we must purge em. Or yrel landing with a giant starship and killing all undeads. Or... if it is not a super baddie the only awesome card left is "azeroth reborn", i.e. world revamp
I get the bad feeling we're getting another elemental focused one, on land though. DF feels like the first part of larger story involving the elements, esp. with the unresolved storylines with the gnolls, Grimtotem, and Iridikron. I'd prefer it be on Kalimdor or EK than a asspulled continent but that's just me growing tired of low bars. At least with the old world we know what to expect.
Maybe that Ai art with the sword in Silithus and the void are hints, but that's just false hope.
Interesting find for 10.2 by, these Sentinel of the New Moon NPCs to pair with the datamined New Moon cinematic.
Elune is definitely going to be an influence on the heretics on the otherside, right? These NPCs, the books, it just seems like she's going to be a huge part of it somehow.
It beckons to question, if these heretics, algarians, anyone we're going to meet in 11.0 as a focal ally are Elune/Life aligned or influenced, do they have any presence in the Emerald Dream, and do they contact us or vice versa through it?
Imo at least this time, although story is less interesting than any expansion with bigger stakes, they do a good job with adding new story content regularly, sometimes even randomly in the middle of patch, so on average it progress every 1-2 month. They already tried to do more story content in Shadowlands, but patches were so far apart we completely lost any sense of continuity.
It's completely opposite to second part of Legion where story was extremely interesting (arguably most important events in whole Warcraft so far), but story content outside raids was.. Broken Shore intro and 3 chapter Argus story.
In general I hope next expansion will be: going full account-wide + same structure + more interesting theme + 1-2 completely new activities like housing.
If it looks like a duck. There's a lot of elemental aspects to DF and it's just silly to pretend like there's not. I don't think elemental fatigue is real but if they do wanna lean into an elemental theme for the next expansion they would need to do it on an elemental plane or multiple elemental planes to not have it just feel like DF 2.0 and I doubt they wanna go with the disjointed zones thing again anytime soon since it took them a decade to get over how poorly it was received in Cata just to be incredibly poorly received in SL as soon as they were okay with zones not being connected again.
The portal rooms are modular and designed non-specifically so that they can accommodate whatever future long-term portals are decided.
The lack of doodads here is (almost certainly) nothing. It's just that they didn't want the space to feel artificial and like an empty development area, so they put around random crates and storage doodads to make it seem like a proper in-world space that isn't being utilized by the stormwind mages as anything but backroom storage at the moment. In spreading random stuff around the back room, two of the slots ended up not having anything put in them (because some empty and some full looks more organic).
In fact, I would expect, just from an ergonomics point of view, that what will happen when 11.0 hits is that one of the lesser utilized portals in the front room, exodar probably, will be moved into the new wing, and the new capital will be put in that open slot. Because it doesn't really make much sense for the portal people are using the absolute most to be a whole extra walk into a mostly empty back section.

Idk if anyone mentioned this, but in sw they opened up the second floor in the Stormwind Portal room.

The salient point here is that personal feelings doesn’t diminish the chances of certain themes becoming expansions. If it’s not your cup of tea, then maybe you’re sitting out next expansion? I did that during Shadowlands. In the end, whatever is coming our way is coming our way in 11.0 whether we personally like it or not.
