a bit too sudden. the writers need to learn to not skip steps that make a narrative believable

What makes you think it will be temporary? Alex and Vyranoth’s entire shared story in DF has been building up to their reconciliation.

The key art is really cool, but it also reflects how uninteresting a lot of the larger lore characters we were expecting to have huge roles have been throughout the expansion.

    - Kalec had a nice story in my opinion, so I'll leave him be.

    - Nozdormu just worried and anticipated while Chromie drove most of the "action".

    - Vyranoth is interesting, but her story feel forced and was practically written on the wall and called as soon as the Return to Forbidden Reach cinematic dropped.

    - No h8 for Tyrande if she's goin Night Warrior lite on Fyrakk.

    - Alex had one cool moment vs Raz and then just kinda disappeared aside from conversations with Vyranoth, still confused where the red flight is in this story.

    - Merithra and Ebonhorn get a pass, both had decent stories, obviously Ebonhorn having more of a focus. I think he was a logical in-world choice for Aspect, but I really hope we see far more Wrathion in the future. The quick turn on his character felt like a weird move when he's had a huge focus before. Like I said, I just hope this means he is a Khadgar figure in our journies moving forward.

Funny you should say this when our concept of what the dream is is challenged right about now. It is more than the blueprint of Azeroth.

The tree and boomkin are on fire. Out of the 9 bosses (when have we had just 9 for a final raid btw), 7 are fire themed.

While it sounds immensely annoying to actually traverse a city built like an ant farm, I still have to say that's a very fun idea in theory. I appreciate the creativity.

That's been a problem with story delivery in game for years.

They could have kept Vyranoth with Fyrakk, had her switch allegiance during the raid and then they could have had a fire and ice theme.

Anything that even remotely suggests we are in the Emerald Dream and not the Firelands.
But we are protecting the dream, not fighting against it lol.

Also fun fact, they literall merge the firelands with the dream temple, so the raid is basically Firelands 2.0 anyways. (which is awesome, firelands was the best part of cataclysm!)

I feel like Wrathion isn’t an Aspect because Blizzard didn’t want to shackle him to that role so he’s free to join us for other storylines & adventures. I can’t imagine they’re backpedaling on him. He’s one of the most featured and developed WoW original characters.

"The Emerald Dream" is unfortunately still a blueprint, hence why the zone is boring in 10.2. But the what the Dream comes from (all but stated to be Lifelands) is cool, and there's a hint that Qonzu might be one of the Life Lords, showing they are already planting the seeds (hurrr) of what the Lifelands are really like.

Ironically it seems that what people wanted from a Dream Zone is not what it canonically is and people really were asking for Lifelands stuff.

they're a mix of nature and fire. anyway, as i said before doesn't make much sense fighting people of the dream unless they got corrupted. i get what you mean, there is a fire/elemental fatigue this expansion, but that's the way the story was set up

An ice theme for the Dream would have been much better. The fire destroying nature theme has been done to death in WoW. It’s just a pretty lame aesthetic. Ice and snowstorms seeping into the Dream would have been a much more refreshing aesthetic and would have made the Dream aesthetic even more magical.

Because 9 bosses are fine, especially if they plan to keep the season at 5-6 months. Otherwise they would have to tune the first 3-4 mythic bosses to be super easy, just so most guilds would be able to clear the raid in time.

or make her follow her own path/ideals without outright switching allegiance. "i'll help you stop my brother, but still fuck you and your titans"

We literally just got a blue dream with Ardenweald though?

Ardenweald colliding with the Dream would've made for a cool aesthetic, but after SL reception they probably scrapped any idea of that besides Moonberry's cameo.

Also, despite being winter themed, Ardenweald had zero snow/ice, so they could've brought that here instead.
