A full-on Nelf leadership reboot would be really cool, but I think that's just a weird way of saying her "place" in the Dream is protecting the tree.

HOWEVER, there could be some cool symmetrical thing with Tyrande in the Dream and Malfurion in Ardenweald. Giving fans a break from her for a while.

And have who? Jarod is nowhere. The only other people are Maiev and Shandris and neither of them is leadership material.

Especially with all the Night Warrior stuff invented for her in the last two expansions.

Yeah, that’s just blatant lying. People had problems with legiondaries but the majority of people knew during Legion how good we were currently having it.

    Like fucking imagine

Didn't Tyrande say she wanted to rest when she said goodbye to Malfurion? I don't like it either but it seems they might be building towards that.

Ehh. This is both true and not true.

The Night Elves did have a capital, then it was retconned away when they shot the RPG books.

Nighthaven was their capital, which is still part of Hyjal. But WoW has done a lot of weird naming of zones.

Like, Ashenvale forest is bigger than just the zone of Ashenvale type deal.

On the flipside, Shandris would finally get a unique model!

    ... maybe.

Wow that's actually really interesting. Do you have a link?

I have a lot of questions of what is meant by a lot of this. The wording could be really important.

Yeah, this is the perfect opportunity for Shandris to get some recognition. Very interested in this now (and honestly it would be refreshing to have no Tyrande for a while, she needs a break even if we are getting more Elune stuff in 11.0).

Why she would be in the Dream instead of helping resettle on Amirdrassil? Couldn't tell you. Maybe Elune tells her to come to the Lifelands?

    Welllll...

For that hit of nostalgia, we will see the return of characters who started in Legion, come back to tell their stories, such as Merithra, Tyrande and the rest of the gang who helped grow the Emerald Dream to begin with. Most importantly, we see Tyrande become the leader of the Green Dragonflight.

“We’ll definitely dive deeper into that and what it means for her to be taking the reins and helping protect this world dream,” explains Augustine

This is from the same site, but an older interview.

I'm kind of banking on it being a miscommunication, but then the interviews from yesterday came out that said Tyrande is finding her place in the Emerald Dream.. and taking on a new role of protector..

And just because it's a new one as well.

I think that stuff is specifically from the whimsy one?

The Alexstraza/Ysera quest is the kicker, because this mentions it. And I found these last night at around 11 PM

I really doubt they are going to kill Merithra AND Ysera so I have serious doubts there's anything more than a miscommunication.

What do we think about the empty space next to Tyrande? A spoiler character maybe? Ysera??
That space is where Norzdormu would be before start floating.

Uh that's false. Kezan is the above portion, Undermine is the metropolis beneath it. There's even references to Undermine on Kezan, and Blizzard devs spoke of Kezan and Undermine as being two separate locations.

Should we go back to Kezan and have it be a proper location in WoW? Yes. Should Undermine be a subterranean city underneath? Probably.
Should Undermine become a full expansion based on the tenous connection of Undermine being a continent on an old map? No.

Just because Kezan was not literally called Undermine doesnt change the fact that we have been at that location. The only thing we didnt have is the actual subterranean city, which itself doesnt really make sense with what we have seen of Goblins so far.
Again, Undermine was never changed to Kezan. Kezan is above Undermine, and devs have stated (post Cataclysm) that they want Goblin players to venture into at some point in the future.

Legion had a lot more flaws than just legendaries. The AP system was a nightmare and general gear acquisition was probably the worst it's ever been. It was a horrible time to play the game for non-casual players.

It's pretty telling that basically every system introduced in 7.0 was basically a shadow of itself by the end of the expansion

Now I'm not saying it is impossible for Undermine to be this giant continent we visit. But I ask you to temper your expectations. Unlesss someone on the team has a huge goblin fetish, it might not happen.
Well Blizzard already stated that something like the Emerald Dream wouldn't be feasible because it wouldn't offer much visual diversity. They never mentioned that issue with Undermine. Also it's rather silly to believe that the dev team needs a "Goblin fetish" when we're talking about a continent that was originally planned for vanilla WoW.

Depending on what this end cinematic is with the New Moon, their death might not be needed.

I mean, yes, I agree with you. It's almost certainly a miscommunication.

I've been on the lookout for more interviews as I figured more would come out and I'm glad to see the buffed and well played ones.

However, as the team did not have a lot of goblin art assets, building the goblin homeland would have required "a ton" of work, leading to both Undermine and playable goblins being cut from classic WoW.[15]

Note that the Undermine was already concepted in the early World of Warcraft beta not as a city on an island, but as a continent southeast of Kalimdor.
