I think it will undoubtably be a storm-elemental gryphon. It being a different animal from what the "Stormrider's Stormhammers" are implying would be extremely confusing. The connection between "renowned across azeroth" and also "a place no ones ever heard of" means it has to be something familiar. They had a pre-recorded tutorial about the expansion and they don't usually do that for an expansion shown at blizzcon, they instead just show an edit of them talking about it on the blizzcon stage. Hearthstone's next expansion was just revealed, so maybe next year's expansion will be revealed at BlizzCon? We might have to reconsider Stormfall leak, lol.

Kinda weird they revealed HS expansion few weeks before Blizzcon. That was a usual thing of HS panels.
