I really hope we get to see one of (or all 3, why not) Iridikron, Azshara and Xal'atath in the new xpac cinematic. Or Alex and the Aspects although some people might not be happy with that lol .
Just want to see some new characters in a cinematic.

As years come by I find less and less tracks that truly stand out for me. But they do sometimes strike gold. I actually quite liked the music for BfA. Especially in Kul Tiras.

It's not that everything has to be voiced. Only about half the cutscenes in FF14 are voiced but they set up the parts you read somewhat cinematically vs just reading a long parchment. The characters explain things, you get to react and that slightly changes the interactions and so on.

This has been a frequent piece criticism over the years. I'm not against the use of cinematics, my biggest issue is lore decisions and events should have an effect in the world and affect us in some way. It would have been dope if Fyrakk had set fire to Valdrakken and moved us to a temporary hub instead of flapping his wings where no one cares.

Dragons do stuff we don't care about, and we do stuff dragons don't care about. What's the point?

I think it was BFA that had most of the side quests voiced if im not mistaken and i wish blizzard would voice every quest because they certainly have the budget for it.

I know people are 10/10 the dwarf dragon quest in DF and ye it was cool, but i can hardly remember any of it because it wasn't voiced, it would be much more hitting one if you had this dwarf VA actor(they should get John Rhys-Davies), listening to all his emotions that he goes through while telling you his story, it would be awesome.

Azshara would be very cool. I mean she is a major lore character with no cinematics to her name.

BfA had quite the bangers! The maritime tracks, Mechagon and Motherlode had amazing OSTs.

Well most of the world is stuck at 10 years ago, so that is kinda hard. Also one of the reasons I want a revamp.

Dragon Isles started by Ebyssian and Wrathion going to the capitals and just saying "help".
Yeah imo 10.2.5 will be the main thread pulling us to 11.0.

And is that not happening? Of course, this means more cutscenes with just dialog, or NPCs talking e.g. after a quest turnin. Imho DF has moved the "action twists" mostly to gameplay instead of cutscenes, with exceptions such as the fight between Alexstrasza and Raszageth, but moments like Sendrax sacrificing herself for the eggs or the defense of Vakthros (very cool cinematography for a playable sequence in an MMO) involve us, the heroes, ourselves.

Sometimes it's just hints in ingame books, like the apparent setup for 11.0 we've seen. It's not very in-your-face and most of us will learn about that via external websites anyway, but it is in the game.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

    I agree
DF music is extremely mid and un-memorable. It feels AI generated

Dialog is great, it lets you get to know the characters better. Having the important dialog be while you're mid combat or doing quest objectives lead to so much being missed. I can't tell you how many times dialog that is voiced gets clipped by just moving.

Just to put an idea out there, but this picture of the 10.2 PTR oddly reminds me of Zaralek Cavern, when your camera bugs out to show empty space. A similar phenomenon seems to apply here, with enough space to fit an entrance to some cavernous zone below!

Could this very well be how we travel to Khaz'Algar?!

That's how every zone works, no model (landscape or character) is truly "solid", if you glitch the camera or even your character through the ground, you see the skybox extending below.

Or it could mean they are giving us a visual update for Undercity

True pretty much everything is just a texture on a polygon.

It would just be a weird place for Khaz Algar. Most importantly because that and Uldaman were supposedly separated by a great distance. The Titan facility under Bael Modan would make more sense and assuming the Khaz Algar report is post-sundering would qualify for great distance.

Not that I think Khaz Algar is under Bael Modan - I think everything points to it being on a new unexplored landmass.

If i have a choice between reading for 10 seconds or listening to VO for 30, i'm going to read. VO isn't an improvement.

That's a lot of new pages that suddenly showed up here. Anything new that happened in the last 10 hours?

Well this is sort of just stuck that way though, weird to see it happen in the first place. Surely if this was some mistake, then the PTR would have been taken back a build in order to reverse it? It at least seems as if somebody was being extra careful as to keep their alterations especially quiet here, wouldn't you say?
