Agreed entirely. So much time and resources go into unique totem models, too. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw the four-totem square plunked down in normal gameplay. It's such a waste of effort and identity to let that state of affairs continue.

I always hoped for the introduction of necromancers but realism has gotten the better of me honestly

I mean, Augmentation broke the seal on adding new specs to pre-existing classes. I'd definitely choose necromancer for a new death knight spec. Spell caster - staff - ranged dps or some sort of experimental role (debuffer or something, but i prefer traditional dps). If survival can turn melee, why not?

I honestly can't remember totems being relevant. I miss when they added the skill that let you pick which totems you wanted to drop and you could drop all four elements in one shit.

While I'm sure Teriz has mentioned this before, I feel a little slow that Thrall is on the front cover of Blizzcon, after an expansion with mysterious shamans they refuse to elaborate on the backstory of (and not even include Magatha, who was in the files and related to the guy in the first raid) and an expansion where they basically refused to use the Earthen Ring even when it made perfect sense to be there. Also a big rock guy who peaces out mid-expansion.

Maybe there is a pretty big shaman presence after all? That would explain why they didn't use the ER (so they didn't spam them over two back to back expansions), and when Primalists appear again in a big way it would be a solid while since DF launch (their main patch)

No. Shamans since vanilla have been trying to balance the elements. The Elements aren't out of balance here, they are staging an uprising. The earthen ring has nothing to offer. You'd be better off sending dark shamans, because at least they would forcibly imprison and dominate the elements.

I wouldn't put that past them, but at least half of the raid bosses this expansion have been elementals. I can't imagine an expansion being more elemental than Dragonflight.

Mainly because the unpruning was handled badly. Suddenly some classes had too many skills to even fit on their bars. What they need to do is dedicate one of the specs to being entirely about totems, like the ol' trap assassin from diablo 2.

Ugh God damn it Blizzard. If this is the reality... I'm so sick of all the "be nicer to people that are different to you" in-game when it's already pounded on people IRL. I AM nice to people that are different to me where it matters - IN REAL LIFE. In the game? Fuck you, I want to hate the Horde, they burned my treehouse. Don't give me this bs.

Maybe the raids are not very elemental themed (so not a Cataclysm copy) but the story features the elements and has a revamp (so Cataclysm 2)

They could go with Classic themed raids. Except Molten Core because Amirdrassil, TDH took care of that.
