I mean, it's much more than that, DF features are:
- Talents revamp
- Professions revamp
- Work Order system
- UI revamp
- Dynamic world events and community events
- Reputation/Renown system (basically a revamp)
- Dragonriding (new traveling system)
- Dragon/Mount customizations
- New Gear Upgrade system and PVE currency
- New Class + Race and Role
The number of new dungeons at the start should be at least 8 so that we are introduced to the new ones that will be part of season 2 at release. I like the idea of having a dungeon tied to the raid especially if these dungeons are released during the 0.5 or 0.7 patch preceding the raid release.
If they start a lot of story threads next expansion maybe they'll use new dungeons on smaller patches as milestones for these stories.
One thing that I often enjoy is small raids like ToV and CoS. They tend to be quite harder challenges than other encounters of the same tier and have the potential of easing the lull before the next big raid tier comes. Besides they're mostly reusing existing asset thus making them pretty efficient (though I'm convinced it still requires a lot of effort to deliver them). I would have appreciated one small raid to be released with 10.1.7

I was attempting at listing pivotal systems at launch otherwise the list could go on and on and on for each expansion with people listing new battlegrounds or the wod coloseum or the fact that wod introduced mythic difficulty for dungeons, etc.
Because time travel is generally an awful trope for stories that aren't centred around it; it reduces the stakes of the universe and diminishes the consequences of plot lines
What's the point of Varian or Garrosh dying if the plot can be allowed to bring them back whenever they like? It becomes meaningless
I quite like your idea.
Enhanced with a superb reward system, including rare ancient transmog pieces styled at that theme or reasons to give is older npcs armor options. Think about, Odyns spear or the dark ranger bow, just some ideas. Rare mobs that can spawn or other sources, maybe even rare puzzels.Reasons to go back and repeat etc.
Same as how I believe a glyph system could be enhanced. With its own tab in collections. Unique glyphs that enhances a certain style or skin. Spec spefific glyphs as spell effects or spelleffect that we all want to have, but are npc only. That would be my ideal situation for spelleffects. Its already in place, simply forgotten.

I think this is an actual possibility. It would explain why she was out of the loop and somewhat disconnected from the Winter Queen. It could explain why her powers and reach are amplified by events like the Embrace or an eclipse.
I think it's plausible that her jailer was Aman'thul. If Ra'den and Odyn take after him, their flaws might be his flaws. Forcing his idea of 'Order' on other Titans and other Pantheons might not be a stretch.
Strongly agree on this. In some ways they made that visit meaningful and interesting (loved what they did with Garrosh) but overall...
Like another of my criticisms of Shadowlands is that it's a grab bag of overpowered instant solutions to any problem, like with the cleansing of Undercity using highly specialized magic from Shadowlands we got in an instant instead of getting all the special attention Night Elves got and drawing it out in a long series of quests and cinematics.
It doesn't look like we closed off these quick and easy connections to SL so this will always be a strong possibility when we face any problem.
It also broadly cheapens the idea of death because you can just hop right over in an easily accessible portal and find whomever almost instantly.

Actually now obsessed with this idea.
If there is no revamp at all next expansion, even just some cities, I hope they explain why there are things like a Stormwind armor rack and a Silvermoon lamp post being updated. Just admit it will take a few more years.
Mark my words: Avaloren is 12.0
Remember all the hints we were getting for Dragon Isles? In BfA? The same is happening now, it's seeding in things for two expansions from now.
What's happening next is something more akin to Shadowlands, probably some crap like Zereth Ordo, or something else to do with the Titans and Order. Or maybe even the realms of life. It will be something more cosmic, and we will return to Avaloren after that.
While that is true, it's also hard to avoid the whole "Algarian Stormrider" achievement.
The only other option for 11.0 is a world revamp, and that is hardly anything that you can assume works like any other expansion.
There is of course the option of Khaz Algar being beneath Un'goro or whatnot, but then I would be afraid that we are heading for another Cataclysm, where the lovingly updated zones are ignored in favor of new ones.
The world revamp dream will never die!
I do sort of hope they're careful with this. I was talking about this the other day with someone--if the new trend is just putting the new zone references into the previous expansion and immediately releasing that as the expansion following, it will get stale really quick. Nothing will have time to percolate in the imagination. Excitement for new content works best when the implications build up and people emotionally feel reasons to be excited about it.
Except the Algarian Stormrider would be a really random heroic edition reward if we don't go there and that has basically only started being seeded with the DF prepatch too.
Could still be that it's not connected to Avaloren and they save that for later, but not based on "it's too soon". Either way we will definitely stay on Azeroth.
Unles Khaz Algar is on the Moon. That would definitely put them at a great distance from our dwarven ancestors and also definitely far enough to not be affected by the curse of flesh.

Yes, Khaz Algar doesn't have to be on Avaloren.
