I was trying to think of solutions to the SoA acronym that don't involve Azeroth or Avaloren, and I thought of Storms of Awakening. In essence, it would be about Azeroth finally "waking up" and the process of her finally getting up from bed causing storms all over Azeroth.

The storms would also cause the planet to crack in some parts, revealing various underground zones including Khaz Algar. Thoughts?

And not just Khaz Algar, but also areas like the Barrow Deeps (with the roots of Elun'Ahir running through them), the long-awaited Azjol-Nerub, and possibly even Undermine. This would also give Blizzard an excuse to revamp parts of the surface world in different areas of Azeroth.

You are probably right. But ... Those guys know that their posts have a much greater impact than of random people talking about Warcraft. Reminds me of danuser with his selfies in front of sylvanas....

I find the current hints in game a bit too much planed. Something about this Avaloren and Khaz Algar smells fishy. The only viable hint is the storm rider and this could very well just be from the transition event between xpacs. Just like the teldrassil hippogryph.
At least I won't be shocked at all if the next xpac is neither underground, nor about elements, nor about Avaloren and Khaz Algar....

They know that, but to a degree don't really have to take it into account. "All views expressed are my own." is there for a reason, while it mostly is there to separate the views of the person from the views of the company, when expressing them, the reality is that no matter what position they have, that does not stop them from posting about personal things on personal accounts. Terran is a Yrel fan. He's spent a lot of time with her doing the WoD Cinematics. He likes the character. And he just got a print back that clearly was very hard to come by, after loosing it. If I lost something very hard to come by, that I liked and I suddenly got it back, I'd be posting about it to. If it then also happens to relate to something on my job and people want to read things into that, well guess what. You're free to do so but it doesn't change the reality, which is that I just got my cool thing back. People read too much into shit, looking for a hint.

Yeah, I remember people being very disappointed with the version of Azjol-Nerub that we got in the game. It was supposed to be this massive underground region below Northrend and all we got was two 5-man dungeons. To add insult to injure, they completely wasted Anub'arak, the king of the nerubian empire, as a character. I'm not a huge fan of nerubians personally (I hate spiders) but I can totally see why fans of them did not like what we got.

I would love it if they made all cities equally viable in terms of transportation and services. I want to be able to hang out in Darnassus or Silvermoon without it feeling like I'm shooting myself in the foot. I hate that they made Stormwind and Orgrimmar the "main" cities.

I hate Orgrimmar's architecture, so I stayed in Silvermoon most of the time because I am a mage and can go anywhere, but because of the 'main city' approach, I feel like I'm sabotaging myself by staying in Silvermoon.

Nah, in the Alpha.. the two were supposed to be romantically involved, but it was one of the plot threads that got scrapped... there was also mention that Velen was Yrel's uncle, but that too was scrapped.

And there is currently no info if there even was an MU Yrel, so nobody knows if she died at some point in the Orcish onslaught, became a refugee in Shattrath or became one of the survivors of the Exodar...or even if she ever existed at all.

This one deserves a bit of credit, as I think it pitched the idea of Stormriding before we even had the datamined Heroic edition mount.

Eh, the user who posted that leak posted several fake leaks during the Dragonflight leak season. They never even bothered to delete their old threads, you can still find them in their post history.

Guy's making a whole fanfiction to explain the new class but can't detail the mercenary system which would be a pretty big deal in D4 theorycrafting (which is why adding 7 mercs seems unlikely as even D2 who had a better build emphasis only had 4 mercs with specs (and for act 2 it basically was only a change of aura)).
