Of course, the second verse makes it even more obvious that it's a void expansion in which we enter the hollow inside of Azeroth from the unexplored side.
"Fate – monstrous and empty, you whirling wheel, you are malevolent, devoid of security and ever fading to nothing, shadowed and veiled you plague me too; now through the game I bring my bare back to your villainy.
The anniversary is next year, correct. That's when you celebrate it. That's when you release 2004 memorabilia.
The expansion announcement is this year, correct. This is when you announce games that pay homage to the anniversary, i.e. a Classic+ or a nostalgic retail expansion. Best way to market those? Pure Warcraft. Azeroth. No nonsense.
For 6 vs. 7, also helpful to see the Everliving Statuette and Saezurah.
Everliving Statuette in Korthia:
Saezurah in Zereth Mortis:The seventh covets what the six hold fast. The fulcrum wavers. All will be undone.
Who knows? Maybe the 6 forces are keeping Azeroth and other First Ones contained and sleeping. Since the connection to Azeroth was what allowed us to use the First Ones' waygates when nothing else could activate them, First One magic is the 7th force and can't be defeated by any of the 6.Mortis. Lumen. Ordus. Rhythm and structure.
Vitae. Umbra. Tumult. Improvisation and possibility.
Her dreams sing beneath the surface. Quiet now, but her voice will awaken the others.
The path is revealed to you.
Six voices in discord. Without harmony, the anthem will be ended.
Harmonies merge between us.
Their song flows through me.
Can you hear their echoes?

Yeah whatever it is, if we ever actually see it, it's something that has the most powerful representitives of each cosmic force shook and, if we can take those books at face value possibly had the First Ones shook.
It kinda feels like long game seeding for the final raid boss of WoW tbh. I know some people theorize the Void Lords are the final big bad whenever that goes down and it could just be referring to them for sure. However the Titans fully believe/d that Azeroth can kill the void lords whenever she wakes up so it makes me think it's referring to something else.
With Metzen back in creative command hopefully all the nu-lore from since he left is being aborted. Really hope we never hear about stupid shit like the Lifelands and the Pantheons of the Seven forces ever again, KILL MYSELF
From Firim in Exile Part 7:
it seems to suggest that First Ones song is what's protecting the 6 from whatever the 7th is and that the 7th is something that's just standing there ominously always waiting to strike as soon as it can.It was both six AND seven. The six were one, and the seventh the other.
Did they desire union? The song seemed to say otherwise. Both were, yet only one could be.
The melody shifted. I shuddered at the shape it took.
This was not a variable to be solved. It was a solution awaiting its opportunity.
The song must not be allowed to end.
Do the First Ones still sing it? Truly, I do not know. But if they do not...
If they do not...
Who will?
No he definitely did, he's been back for a year and apparently is heavily involved with this one. However Metzen has clearly grown as a person and doesn't want to tell the same stories in the same way and anyone that thinks he's gonna go back to whatever imaginary golden age of lore they think exists are kidding themselves.
Wasn't WoD mostly Afrasiabi at that point? I dont know I enjoy the new lore. Especially the cosmic stuff, I dont wanna have it all be upfront with no mystery but there's a lot of amazing stuff in there along with some bad which is literally just how Warcraft lore has always been.
Hello sexy people of the hype thread.
I'm guessing we have no leaks, cause people are just talking about First One lore.
