I disagree. DF is Warcraft, but just lean a bit too much onto the light hearted. Pandaria was the same, but it turned darker as the plot progressed.
DF just stayed almost the same, that's the problem.

When will people realize its not about being super-dark-genocidal-maniacs running around, but more like being WARCRAFTish....

We all have our own idea of what's Warcraft then. I got strong Warcraft vibes from Ohn'ahran Plains and the Azure Span. I think it's only the broader narrative that's suffered from not feeling Warcrafty thanks to Danuser.

Funny because most people I interact with in-game feel the opposite, and always say Dragonflight feels like a return to that Warcraft feeling. It’s only ever a small group on forums that I see this sentiment from. (This is a personal observation not meant to be taken as statistics or fact.)

New spec for DH? sounds likely since they were basically force to do another for dracthyr

twink dragons becoming other classes? more options of visage and not just godamn elves? i can only hope

color me choked when blizzard neglect races and worldbuilding and the factions to focus on singular asshat neutral characters that people don't care about is exactly the period warcraft doesn't feel like warcraft.

Like, why the fuck should i care about the aspects or some other dragons and not about my own faction, leaders, and my own race? that is what drove me and a lot people to play this game.

I would not be surprised if the maps that have this kind of stuff(factions, and race specific quests with the zones) are the most liked and what feel most warcraft in DF; Dragonflight also gets lucky to be about dragons, that is core part of the franchise as well, But to me still feels disconnected, and i will be forever salty chromatus and the chromatic dragonflight are not the enemies, but isntead elemental bs.

I have to say, there is a difference between an area and its questlines introducing the character and culture of the locals and with it telling the history of the area. Cataclysm Tirisfal did a great job of telling you the character of the Forsaken; it gave you the many different archetypes that they belong to, cleanly defined. It did not need to focus on the history of the race to tell you what the race was about.

Whoever did the cata trio of zones needs a promotion and needs to write all zone stories from now on. If they are still with blizzard.

Tirisfal, Silverpine, and Hillsbrad are all S tier zones even in 2023. Western and Eastern Plaguelands are also good.

Well, that sucks I suppose. Not that he isnt there but that hes so talented and turned out to be a creep.

The vision he initially had for BFA and SL was at least partially rewrote so we will probably never know what he wanted to do.

It was me and I wasn’t complaining so much as asking/wondering why someone would do that. Really not hard to just read a lil lol, although I get that most people nowadays can’t be bothered to read more than a blurb or headline. I’d just rather do it myself than ask for someone else to do something for me but guess that’s not universal /shrug

I highly doubt they'll add WoW's Cosmic Beings in HoTS ngl. They're just so far above everything else, you'd have to make up some pretty crazy reasons for why Kerrigan or fucking Tracer could destroy Zovaal in 1 on 1 combat.

It's not that crazy; a fuckiing probe taking on Diablo is already insane, it's basically explained by the Nexus being weird.

Merfolk are the new race for both the Horde and Alliance. Dwarfs get new Sea Dwarf customizations and Trolls get new Dark Troll customizations.

The new expansion land is an area of the map is called the Sea of Storms. There are four new zones.

Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms are revamped with modern zone features: renown tracts and community events. The leveling scaling from 1-70 and 1-80 after reaching max level with one character.

Class and race-exclusive questlines in the reworked vanilla continents.

There are three new dungeons and five reimagined vanilla dungeons built for mythic+.

Launch raid is called the Seagrave. It takes place in a ship graveyard with Ysera and Vol’jin as the guides.

this makes 0 sense - when humans were still an empire.? So you mean stromguard and the human kingdoms? I wouldn't call it an empire.
