Let's just imagine for a minute that something is going to happen within the realm of "Azeroth Update". What would be your dream scenario?
For me, it's obviously going to be the World Revamp of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. But I would really would appreciate a HD update, for retail and/or Classic.
Well, at least it seems we've stopped responding to the literal New World Bot tryna troll with the usual opinions that'd come out of Moonguard Goldshire. Concept please, Nym, give us your take.
You know, i just noticed you can't see the Seat of the Pantheon from the Dragon Isles...
Can't we all just get along? 12 days, people. 12 days!!
"IF", big "IF" here, Blizzard has a "legitimate leak" prior to BlizzCon, I pray that it is something "non-divisive." If, for example, the "legitimate leak" is obviously another planet/dimension, that would probably enflame the community. "IF" a "legitimate leak" happens, I hope it is something that isn't obvious, so that we can still speculate, have fun, enjoy the ride, and THEN be excited/disappointed during the announcement (opposed to being excited/disappointed before the event even happens).
The best would be a revamp of Azeroth as a whole, minus the Dragon Isles, I guess. Hell, redo Outland, as well. We haven't been to our one in such a long time, things are bound to be different.
A more sensible would be to revamp the two main continents.
If only one is on the table, I would prefer EK.
If even that is too much, I would go with the north. Lordaeron, Gilneas and Quel Thalas.
So as an absolute elitist I am thinking what I would like in an expansion for elitists. Obviously I am talking about old content raid, the most elitist content of all.
My ultimate wish is ways Blizzard can make them fun to do again. They did that partially for me with the Trading Post having the "Kill 25 raid bosses" one. But outside mog/mount farming, there isn't a lot to it.
But what if, what if there is a world revamp. That could give blizzard a reason to hide some fun new items (toys, mogs, recipes etc) in old raids.
I know I am dreaming, because Blizzard will never do that. But an elitist can dream!

tbf, at this point I'd much rather have a Outland revamp. Going from Cata zones to Outland is so damn weird, it feels like stepping back in time quite a bit. Which makes sense ofcourse. Cataclysm was a more recent update than Outland. But still, it's a bit contradictory in it's questing compared to the other Chrome Time options.
At the end of the day, and when you stop to look past all the noise, we pretty much know what 11.0 will be already.
With Legion, Blizzard wanted to do something a thousand times more badass than The Burning Crusade. So they had the Legion invade Azeroth - a full scale invasion. Instead of messing around with Illidan and Kil'jaeden, we got Sargeras himself. Instead of playing around in the kiddie pool on Outland, we went to Argus!
With Shadowlands, they wanted to do something twice as cool as Wrath of the Lich King, so they sent us into the literal realm of death (not "just" the frozen north), where we faced the "Super Lich King". They even symbolically broke the Helm of Domination at the start of the expansion, to hammer home this message. Heck, we even got a "Super Icecrown Citadel" floating above it, Torghast.
With 11.0, they'll want to make Deathwing seem like a rookie. The shattering - the moment when he burst through the earth and ruptured the elemental planes, and tore Azeroth asunder - will look like amateur hour. Iridikron will be empowered a thousand times more than Deathwing, with the essence of Galakrond and the Void. He'll tear into the world so deep that it shatters the foundations of the cosmic planes, spilling all sorts of forces into reality, driving the elementals insane. The noble guardians of Elun'Ahir, Erinethria's brood, will scatter in the storm as Iridikron comes for the heart of the tree!
Thrall, the Dwarves of Khaz Modan, and all creatures with a deep connection to the world underneath their feet will freeze in terror. As Iridikron races for the depths below, all they can do it muster their forces and chase after in panic. Now the question remains... are the Algarians with us, or against us?
Instead of mere Old God whispers and corrupted dragons, though, we'll face the Void itself by the end! Iridikron was just the start. With the heart of the tree claimed, and the path to the heart of Azeroth cleared, Xal'atath is now ready to awaken!
This line of thinking should also apply to the world revamp scenario. Instead of just updating bits and pieces of the old world with a paint brush, adding a few new rocks and twigs, they'll update it all! A full HD remake of Azeroth.

Just a random thought, but what if we will go to the other side of Azeroth, but not by the sea, but by underground? Like, directly through the core. From the Silithus, though the hole in the ground made by Sargeras Sword?
Running old raids for Transmog was genuinely one of the most fun activities for me back in the day. Though sadly I collected basically everything, which took away the rewarding aspect.
My hope would be that all armor restrictions on Transmog is lifted, but still require the correct class to collect, organically pushing me to create and maintain loads of alts depending on what Transmog I want. Druid for Aberrus, or Mage for Amirdrassil for instance.
The world revamp dream will never die!
Man these last two weeks will be rough, I've already found myself refreshing this thread more so than usual.
The world revamp dream will never die!
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
