Normally it takes an argument longer to devolve into calling each other nazis. Anyway since you asked, while he is generally more logical than most, he does come off as a pretentious twat who twists his own words just so he could say 'I'm right and you are wrong'. Sure he is no Pyromancer but during his streams he does sure love to trigger people on purpose just so that he could argue with them and flaunt his supposed superiority,

can you give example of how he is being pretentious or trying to trigger people? And does this means you like the Quartering?

Is the “new” source that book from Warcraft 3/classic that they copied and then had some one in universe scribble in?

If it’s just that it’s seem unlikely there will be any actual influence of an old retconned book just because it says five and because it’s technically in universe there’s no reason to think who ever wrote it actually had first hand information and would think G’hunn wasn’t an actual old god or know Y’shaarj got killed leading to them likely being part of the five.

I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

Huh, good point. With Y'Shaarj dead and Xal'Atath potentially eaten, there's room for two Old Gods we haven't met yet. The only issue with that is that we've already seen their territory established in Chronicles, with no room for any others—then again, this is Blizzard, and "past lore is constraining" on Danuser's wild ride. Alternatively, they could have been off the main continent. Maybe they're in Avaloren?

Then again, the text is supposed to be flawed and evidently biased in-universe, so this may just be a red herring.

Yeah that is the one. The thing is, as the video points out, the annotations take great pleasure in correcting the titans whenever they make a mistake. But they don't correct the number of imprisoned Old Gods even though the POV is working for them.

Yes, pretty much. The book even says that the Titans just swept things that couldn't be ordered, under the rug. The Chronicle is Titan lore and open for interpretation. This lead to some weird theories over the years, like Pyromancer's claim that the Titans are the actual Void Lords.

Believe it or not, I haven't even heard of the Quartering before you brought it up. But keep being judgemetnal, dude. Real classy.
Now I don't watch much of his streams, because all the petty arguments for no reason irk, me, but one i clearly remember was during his Shadowbringer playthrough.

Chat: Why? He is such a well-written character.
Taly: Ahh you dumb people don't understand. When I say I hate him, I clearly mean I like him, but my character has no reason to like him. Haha, fools.

He also seems to be inconsistent when complaining about overly sexualized characters or races. The same thing can be just simply sexy in one race, but overly sexualized in others.

I mean they DID imprison Y'shaarj. They imprisoned his heart. Which still leaves one Old God if we are not counting G'huun.

It seems possible, and I don't think Ghuun was an actual Old God but we'll have to see whats really going on in the underground zone.

Like how in Mass Effect over 90% of players picked Paragon options instead of Renegade.
I imagine the choices in WoW are inflated toward being even, simply because many players likely have an alt go the alternate route to see what happens.

People enjoy playing villains, and the factions - both of them - are allowed to do war things in a war IP.
So like, they enjoyed playing a faction that did Teldrassil BBQ Event? I remember their fuming and outrage here veeeery differently, along with some epic meltdowns and Olympic levels of mental gymnastics from few notorious Horde defenders.

This book as far as we know isn’t written by the titans and as we know from Chronicles which is there perspective they only egknowledged 4 old gods so even if they were trying to correct the titans at every turn they would have no reason to touch the number.

And if we are to assume the original book in IF was written by an mortal then 5 fits perfectly if you put in G’hunn and who ever is correcting it could just not know G’hunn isn’t a real old god like who ever originally wrote it.

Unless they retcon BFA he isn’t an actual old
God but there’s really no way any one on Azeroth who wasn’t around for the black empire would know that and it’s unlikely the Titan watchers elementals or old gods them selfs would ever bring it up.

What will happen to S1 creation catalyst when 10.1 will launch? If it will be disabled, release so early is not good news for me, as I planned to level all classes and get normal/heroic tier on them via Forbidden Reach (catalyst has 6 cap, transmog set has 9 pieces).

I have to admit that the Chronicles retcon still irks me—reframing what was initially marketed as an absolute, all-encompassing journal of Warcraft lore as in-universe propaganda was a rather daft move on Blizzard's part. Doesn't help that most of what was changed only was so for the sake of very underwhelming additions (i.e. Shadowlands and the First Ones).

As for the Pyromancer theory, I'm unfamiliar. Please enlighten me.

Eh, that kind of depends on context. If we're talking about, say, a villainous character, what he meant may have been along the lines of how people hated Gul'dan in Legion—a "love to hate" sort of thing.
