No I mean, whoever got their hands on the screenshots to post them. Who would have access to the features trailer to be able to take screenshots? Only a Blizz dev right? That's really damn risky to do with your work computer I would think. Telling a friend a secret is one thing but screenshotting your work, saving it, and then moving it off your work computer seems like a bad idea.

Blizzard has never hinted at underground stuff? You are kidding right? It lterally mentions Khaz Algar and the Earthen in the game in Uldaman Legacy of Tyr in a blue item. Here it is -

Press embargoes with the big guys exist and there's also partners that would have early access. Hell, maybe it's some silly exploit that allows one to view some thumbnails from private YouTube videos like that one that happened a few years ago. Formed a civilization as the secret Emperor of Tel Abim after the Sundering. Empire consisted of Goblins, Earthen, and Nerubians. Holy crusaders exiled from Pandaria took over the Empire and enslaved Wes'hiim in the name of Elune. Nerubians are the only ones properly resisting by the time we get these. Each zone has an equally large underground section to it. New race. Leveling process revamp.

EDIT: Actually, the dwarf doesn't seem to match, so unless it was a placeholder or we're being introduced to several elemental dwarves, it's not quite lining up.

It's a laptop, the screen is angled back.

I still stand by that one being 95%+ fake, because every expansion's website is uniquely designed and this is just a direct copy of the existing dragonflight where someone went through and changed everything slightly ("Oh, diamond scroll entry indicators instead of circles!", etc.)

Both affirmative and denying of this, it's all absurd.

It's so fucking tiny and compressed, but even if it wasn't, WoW is a game that has iterative qualities of existing biome styles even when it doesnt reuse shit, making all of the "this looks like X" zones absolutely ridiculous, because they're always going to be some flavor.

People who are absolutely on board either like what they see and want an affirmation of it, or are skeptical and worried for the upcoming product and don't.
People who are calling fake are the same people who would call fake on literally anything that is flawed looking within WoW's cartoony style and homogenized biomes when based off something semi-real.

Case and point, people are so certain to say any given image is from any range of 3-4 zones from 2-3 different expansions.

It's not that people shouldn't be allowed to speculate, it's just that the confidence of it is hysterical when this community has 15 years of being bamboozled. It's a 360 by 810 image. Shit like "that cat looks flat" is impossible - it is literally too compressed and tiny to tell.

It's a fool's errand to make any conclusion at all.

You realize people are doing this for fun right? That's all these threads are. There are no stakes on being right or wrong.

Besides, it's not like it's a matter of 100% confidence. People can assign probabilities. There are certain ones that have absolutely weight at all, versus ones that are basically a cinematic Bolvar which is nearing 95%+ confidence with the dark horse chance some legitimate artist spent a lot of time to troll.
