Pretty much, I do think the environments are largely if not entirely in-game screenshots at the very least, so not entirely Photoshop/AI or whatever, but whether Blizzard or modders authored them remains to be seen. Some of the models do feel out of place, but looking back at previous official reveals I might have said the same at such a low resolution.



Yup, we can't talk about the origins of that one but it was made by a very talented team of individuals.

Exactly. And the zones in the images seem to be made primarily from reused assets and colour palettes, so it's not at all a stretch to assume someone made them in whatever level editors exists for WoW.
The models are the more difficult part to fake, but we know it's doable. Even more so when they don't actually have to move and you can start from a base of existing models.

I reckon Avaloren contains a Titan facility where the seal on the Elemental Plane is kept. Iridikron wants to go there to bust it open in his quest to undo everything the Titans have done.

These are all existing things. The dino is completely new (apart from being based on the pet version from timerifts). The dwarf is also same, but different. I did notice that the eagle statue in the background on the snowy picture is very similar to Aerie Peak tho!

With the Stormrider mount leak, it's a very reasonable to assume the dwarves of Avaloren would borrow Wildhammer motifs.

Pessimistic view says whoever faked it just nabbed the model from Aerie Peak.

Are you thinking of the Prophecy RP server? They remodeled all of Dalaran, but it's not "fake". It's meant to be playable. They genuinely remade the entire Hillsbrad zone with Dalaran to make a playable WC3 version of WoW. They've done some amazing work. They've re-done all of Tirisfal glades as well in modern WoW aesthetics, pre-Scourge

The statue could mean nothing. IF it's real and they are the algrian erthens, then they are basically stony wildhammer (btw has anyone spent some time rhinking about those poor gryphons?) so Blizz could have used an updated model of the same statue

I'm pretty sure I was one of the few who didn't really question the Dracthyr model long after its reveal. I quickly came to realize that we were getting a dragon class, and Blizzard would create something like the Dracthyr to make that possible. That's not the same situation as we have here. In this case we have Blizzard pretty much doing the same expansion again, which they have never done in the history of the game. Every expansion is a pretty solid departure from the previous one aesthetically. The pics in this leak look more like a patch for Dragon Isles than a brand new continent, and that's quite troubling, because we're still going to have about a year of Dragon Isles before 11.0 releases, and I seriously doubt people are going to be hyped to play through another lost continent with dragons and titan constructs.

Again, in the absence of any broader context of those zones I would respectfully suggest you are jumping at shadows in 4 still images. My point in bringing up the Drakthyr was that an image in a vacuum really does not tell us that we're doomed to what you fear. Could it happen? Yeah, of course. But the instant doom and gloom when we know practically SFA is seriously eyeroll-worthy (and this is all assuming it is real).

Additionally, not sure why you're homing in on dragons being present again. There is an indication we may see a small coven of Greens that set up shop there (somehow, considering a sole dragon made the journey...), that's it. The lore book that introduced that concept strongly hints that dragons have otherwise never been there.

I also remember you leading the hype train on titan-related content not long ago, so that is an interesting pivot.

I am really curious about what is sticking out of the back of the mountain dwarfs back. This could potentially be AI generated with some photoshop work added in, but this is still impressive if that's the case.

Left looks like a high-res version of the Aerie Peak statue.
Right one looks like a dwarf from behing, axe in left hand, hammer on right hand raised to the sky.

Might be the kind of expansion where it eventually becomes a Void expansion. I mean, Mists of Pandaria was on the surface a "peaceful Pandaria fighting the Sha" expansion with a Chinese aesthetic, but ultimately it was a story about the Old Gods.

Likewise Battle for Azeroth was on the surface a "Horde vs Alliance" 4th war expansion, but ultimately that too was all about the Old Gods.


So, perhaps this one's on the surface about Odyn's heretics as the plot thread that leads us there, but by the final patch it's a void expansion? They're just giving us this Titan Keeper stuff first to show us the bad side of the Titans before Iridikron can do his stuff

Yeah, not like we’ve had this nonsense in the last three expansions (if we count DF) as well. Man I‘d just wish we would be getting something different than this failing build up of suspense that just never gets to the climax because it’s done so poorly.

He has a good eye since these are mostly existing assets.

The biggest part, and the most noticeable is ironically the part you never think about. The texture used on the ground. And I am pretty confident all of these use existing ones.
