I'm not sure what possible context could be missed here if this is real. This looks like a primordial wilderness with titan influence just like the Dragon Isles did. What gimmick do you think could be implied to alleviate that feeling?
    Aah yes, avoiding the Dracthyr, not as if there was a .5 patch dedicated to their zone, full of their NPC's. Or you know, a whole class/race that is playable. Or a huge part of the early lore being about the Dracthyr. (Even the current raid final boss).

    Yea, they are not important and just a tiny part.

    That you see it as a tiny part, doesn't mean it is. Please stop assuming your own view is the only correct one.

    As for your dragon thing.. myea, if it's Avaloren (and that's a strong if. I am not sold on those screenshots being real just yet) it's a place nobody has been, that a green dragon "maybe" travelled to. And now suddenly there have to be dragons and Odyn. That makes absolutely 0 sense.

But a still image of that clip might convey the impression that tree was pivotal to the zone. It wasn't, it was just a landmark that worked well for the video.

    Four still images does not an expansion canvass - at least, it's a stretch to argue that it does until we actually see the full zone previews.

    I think the Loch Modan dwarf statue is sitting on a throne (if I'm thinking of the right one), so not that one either.

    Oh I don't disagree haha - was using that as a conveniently timed point about expectations based on an image. A zone probably has more room for variance than a race :P
    By that same coin though, generally the few seconds we are shown are, as you said eye catching landmarks and the most unique possible parts of the zone, so knowing that there is more and they chose to show screenshots that look samey is not inspiring any more confidence.

    I mean I still think void having a big part to play could be possible.
    If you got random screenshots from the Legion reveal without any context you might not think they’re from a Legion expansion. (Hell might think its night elf/Naga related)
    Still crossing fingers for Undermine megacity. Like its the last place we haven't uncowered that isn't an asspull madeup on the spot.

    Ofcourse, it's not Tinker and/or Undermine related. Therefor it's not what "the players want".

    If the screenshots are real (and again, I will hold judgement on that because I am not 100% convinced) they look interesting. I just hope that if we go there, we get some zones like Sholazar/Ungoro, the "testing" grounds so to speak.

    I rewatched the Shadowlands features vid earlier and honestly, their choices of areas to spend the ~3 seconds on in each zone were shockingly underwhelming. Might well just be what is in a development state acceptable for advertising.

    Teriz is right, others feel that way too. If these zones turn out to be real (most probably), it'll be the most underwhelming new expansion hype attempt from Blizzard in my eyes. They usually put the most spectacular elements in their promos to generate hype. If that's the most spectacular... well, that's sad. I'm happy you like it tho, good for you.

    Here is the zone previews for Legion;

    Here's the faction zones from WoD:

    If you took a still photo from either of those zones, you instantly see differences between the two expansions.

    BTW, that first pics just smacks of Azure span 2.0;

    Dragonflight got the lamest cinematic ever. I hope we don't see Thrall crawling up a tree in silence.

    Fair enough. And that teaser literally only had areas to showcase and nothing else.

    No. I'm disappointed that it looks like the current expansion. I'll happily take a void expansion over a rehash.

    If we take a step back, not even look at the images, doesn't the entire concept of "tall dwarves" just seem completely silly?

    Long live dragonflight 2.0!

    Expansion without a villain and a central force, now classic 2 patches (they liked the Covid Shadowlands)

    It's funny how Blizzard is degrading, the graphics are at the level of 2015, but they demand money like for a triple AAA project
    You haven't seen the graphics yet. It's just a screenshot (a poor quality one to be fair, though better than most leaks) of a few zones. You haven't played the new expansion yet.

    WoD was also on another planet, so as I pointed out earlier yes it would be reasonable to expect that should look like a different expansion. Two in a row on Azeroth, shockingly they will both look like Azeroth to some degree. Those videos were actually really great examples of how much difference there can be between a simple still image and a number of video shots. Especially Frostfire - if you saw some of those clips alone you might question where the fire comes in!

    But ask yourselves, does it really feel like a talented WoW level designer put this together? It looks great for what it is, a fake leak from the community. But there's so little thought given to the layout of the zones in these screenshots. Trees and flowers from all sorts of biomes are mixed wildly, the skyboxes look like someone copypasted Gorgrond (Blizzard puts a lot of love into their sky boxes these days). That forest looks like it has a dense canopy right above the road, which isn't something Blizzard likes doing given how the camera follows the player from that POV.
    If it ends up real this will be so insulting to everyone at blizzard lool.

    A green dragon traveling through the storms to reach Avaloren is part of the continent's lore, so of course we're going to encounter green dragons there. We're also going to encounter storm dragons because they're connected to Odyn and tie in with the entire storm nonsense.

    So yeah, dragons, titans, anti-titans, and a lost continent all over again. You're seriously excited for that?

    That’s because that was the original plan for the Vrykul. They didn’t just throw in an old model for the sake of it when they knew they were just going to use a different one later on for the actual expansion. They changed their stance on what they wanted Vrykul to be and look like. They were originally supposed to be vampiric too but this changed in development also.
