The 10.3 theory is big copium to me unless you start buying back into old A/B team theories again. The idea that there's some secret huge dump of content behind the scenes that'll save everything.

If we're talking concurrent patch/expansion reveals, it happened with 3.3 and Cataclysm both being unveiled at Blizzcon 2009, but that was a long time ago.

So what, blizzcon is for 10.3 with a small hint of 11.0??? No way

Antorus was not available until after Blizzcon, so the whole Sargeras-stabbing-the-planet thing was unknown. All we had was a datamined Silithus crater and a teeny tiny encrypted box in the middle, iirc.

I had forgotten about all the talk of "annual expansions" from back in the day! Used to be excited by the prospect. Now a days it just makes me imagine how little content one expansion would entail to be able to push them out yearly and how they'd still probably be full price

I have a possible theory for the harpies. If Eonar's world tree was planted in Avaloren. It was a branch of G'hanir. G'hanir is associated with Aviana, the mother of harpies. Maybe where any part of G'hanir is planted, harpies are possibly drawn.

Well, even in that context what people are bringing up here, would be inevitable for that concept to work. Aka heavy reusing of assets. Art is probably one of the things that eats up the most time for new Content, because of how stylized WoW is and the chosen style in that vein. If they wanted to ever go yearly, you WOULD be seeing 'Evergreen' Art Assets that they can just pluck out and plug in anywhere with a slightly different coat of paint. And people would haunt Blizzard's nightmares in the span of a month over it.

I think that would be a lot of work.

The harpy talisman is obviously already in the game and it's from Legion (7hp_harpy_talisman01.m2) but I think that's not all that surprising since, you know... it's harpies. How many different talismans could they have?

I guess Iridikron tries to do a thing and we stop him from doing the thing.

Looks like someone just discovered photoshop but hasn't quite figured out how to make the font effects look realistic

Was it BfA -> SL then? I remember this exact scenario happening with one of the expansions, but not sure which one. Maybe I'm just thinking of something else.

G'hanir itself is in the Emerald Dream with some possible overlap into the Shadowlands.

That was one of the weird bits about Elune and the Epnar story. The Mother Tree is fairly established

I feel like this is not good enough, but i do think that this could be a patch logo.

That depends? Are these harpies native to Avaloren? Cause they may not have been exposed to other harpy cultures since....forever I guess. This is like asking how many writing systems could humans have.

Looks SUPER ugly, and doesn't even follow standard Azeroth globe motif.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

The back of the World of Warcraft area is different like the DragonFlight was in comparison for the other expansions

Tbh the tree is one of the few things that just seems wrong.
It looks incredibly low res compared to the rest, but who knows idk.
