Actually, the S is for Shaping of Azeroth, because of all the mega zones they're implementing

It stands for Smooshing of Azeroth because all the zones are smooshed together.

I think it would be smart of them to use Azeroth in the name, honestly. It is instantly recognizable to players new and old, current and lapsed subscribers.

It's also bloody easy to market a name and theme like that in cool ways. Lots of stormclouds, lightning, weather effects, and so on.

Storms of Avaloren makes a bit more sense if you simply consider our speculation though, because that's where the storms (presumably) are. But Azeroth clicks for more people, and there's no reason the storm cannot extend to cover all of Azeroth in such an expansion. In fact, that could be part of the plot, and why there's an urgency in the beginning of the story.

Like I mused in my original Voidstorm leak back in August, perhaps Queen Azshara meddles with the storm and sends it all across Azeroth. Maybe it's just an effect caused by the elements being at unrest, or Xal'atath tinkering with Elun'Ahir over on Avaloren.

I wonder how they'd work this pre-patch though, because the Dragonflight pre-patch was essentially this. It was called Tempest Unleashed and spawned a bunch of bad weather and elementals in some old world zones.

    New race: Demonaxx
    New feature: Bike riding
    New dungeon: Capitalism's fall
New raid: Gallywix's secret pleasure palace
New continent: Frigg - The dead titan. The enormous corpse of a young titan that used to live in the moon, but fell on Azeroth. Every biome contains running rivers of eternal blood. METAL!

I heard from a good source that they're replacing Laura Bailey with Katy Sagal as Jaina Proudmoore's voice actor.

I don't know, the last time they used "Azeroth" in the name of an expansion we got BfA, and I'm quite sure that's something they want to stay forgotten lol. it would be as bad as "Warlords of Durotar" as an Expansion name.

The storms in this round could be caused by the same individual who created the storms out West. My hunch is Odyn, as our showdown with him seems to be building to its time in the story, so I wonder if Odyn or a/the Titankeepers almost launches some form of assault in the form of storms to attempt to put us in our place.

I think it's more "Schlorping Ol' Azeroth" zones together

Titan Keeper civil war would be an awesome expansion theme imo.

This is a legitimate screen cap from the upcoming expansion reveal cinematic. (Haters will say it's fake)

I just hope they'd come up with a new architecture style for the Titans 'cause I'm kind of getting tired of the same old popping up in every expansion. We haven't really had a fully titan-themed expansion and yet I'm already a bit over the aesthetic

Because the datamining started before the guy posted the thread, the thread cant be taken seriously.

Can the people needlessly arguing with each other in point-by- point manner please just take their tiresome nonsense to private messages?

The cool part with the Keepers is that you can kinda just overlay them anywhere. So no matter where the expansion takes place you can have a wide variety of biomes and themes going on besides just the Keeper civil war stuff.

Right now, I am 90% confident that the expansion is this, roughly speaking:

    Storms/Shadows of Avaloren/Azeroth

    • Locations - Avaloren, Khaz Algar, Elun'Ahir, and Azeroth.
    • Characters - Odyn, Tyr, Eonar, Elune, Thrall, Jaina, Erinethria, Ysera, the Dragon Aspects, Vyranoth, Iridikron, Xal'atath/The Harbinger, and Queen Azshara.
    • Factions - The Algarians, Erinethria's brood, Earthen Ring, Valarjar, etc.
    • Theme - Storms, Life, Order, Light, Shadow/Void, the Elements, and Azeroth.
    • Story - Involves a Storm created by Odyn and his quest for retribution, discovering a secret land, the world-soul in peril, the Hour of Twilight, etc.

Ain't a Metzen expansion if there isn't some Raging or Ravaging going on so he can do his exarragrated both hand lift towards the sky
