Zaralek caverns has been universally panned by the playerbase in DF, Blizz wouldnt be smart making the mistake of saying "oh hay remember Zaralek, Here's more of that shit".

Everyone that's talking about how disappointed and bad the leak is: What were you wanting? Team revamp? I'm curious, tbh.

It didn't need to be a revamp, but if we have to get our 3rd hidden continent, this time for the second time in a row, then the zones and themes in the zone should be more original than what we've been getting the last couple years.

Wow is 20 years old, and we've seen a fuckton of biomes and themes already, so i don't expect them to come up with never-before-seen stuff, but i do expect the multi-billion dollar company to use its vast amount of resources to pay its designers to come up with a (original or spin-off) creative take on things we've already had so it doesn't feel like a blatant copy paste.

Like the wood-dwarf concept that's been floating around the thread some time ago.

So at least a few reskins of existing models going on which (even when ignoring the amount of work that would go into making a custom environment like this with proper retail fog/lighting) is a lot of work to do for a leak. Not impossible, but definitely a good amount of work.

It isn't necessarily legit but yeah it does have that same exact veneer of denial spread through out. It wasn't just Dracthyr either it was MoP, WoD, Legion, BFA, SL and DF. O that's almost all of them. Actually I'm pretty sure I remember people saying the same thing for Wrath because "How could we possibly fight Arthas"

No one acknowledged the Legion leak. It was posted in its thread as a small list when the set precedent was in depth leaks such as WoD before it. No one paid any attention to the Legion leak whatsoever. We went into that Blizzcon convinced it would be Council of Glades or Eye of Azshara, but that’s only because no one paid any attention to the Legion leak whatsoever. There was no discussion surrounding that leak, so there wasn’t any denial in regards to it.

BfA again wasn’t leaked apart from the name and just hours prior to the reveal. There was a lot of speculation surrounding it but it was a pretty mixed bag on what it could be.

We were all pretty convinced of Shadowlands being the expansion way before it was revealed, we just weren’t sure on the details. The Bolvar leak had its detractors but most agreed it was legit as did most with the Bastion leak.

DF with the Dracthyr screenshots was the only scenario where the majority on mass were denying it’s legitimacy.

Someone who's this good at creating fake environments, model edits, what have you... there's no way they would get something as silly as the perspective of the laptop wrong. More likely they did that on purpose just to screw with people by sharing the real leak and making it look fake.

Exactly. This is my main point. Warcfafts world, theme, art, races, atmosphere is ... How to call this.... Evolved, fully evolved. It's like it has perfected it's imagination of "elves" , "wood elves", "dwarfs", "cosmic horror", "deep sea horror", "religious fanatics", "nature utopia"
I don't think they should go this "another cosmic horror", "another dwarf" direction. The Problem is that is the devaluation of the existing things. We've seen this with titans and progenitors

Some details are usually lost when you translate concept art into the game. Overall, the coloring on the shoulders is the exact same as in the artwork.

That's where Im at. Either this is legit in which case hey neat or this is a slow burn fake leak involving multiple leaks and it deserves to be acknowledged. Im leaning towards legit though.

I do have to say. We've got 4 potential screenshots with no other details. That is... super duper bold to claim that makes it a disappointing expansion. I mean, I think this is fake. But even if it's not I'm still excited because I love new stuff.

If you really are that depressed and against WoW I just don't see why you would stick around to play. Like, pretty much any new content gets me pumped. I genuinely enjoy the game, and have since Vanilla. The only half exception I think I've ever had was Shadowlands.

I dunno, sometimes it feels like the negativity is a self fulfilling prophecy.

People are disappointed because it looks like everything we got in the last decade. Even if these are just stills from the video preview, there’s not an inch of freshness or novelty to it.

Solely being excited for new stuff is setting the bar for everything in the future very low when it’s so formulaic and redundant.

By the way, why are people time and time again clinging to the world revamp stuff? Now it’s just a partial revamp? When will you guys finally stop, it’s not happening. Every two years the same revamp shenanigans and people never learn.

You see this is another thing I like about FFXIV. We know about every landmass. They are right fucking there. People just have no particular reason to visit them. And when they become added as playable areas, the story is moved in a direction where you get a reason to be there.

It's not really just the screen. The cellphone is also a solid color and uniform brightness, and the cracks in the glass blend into the artwork.

But mostly, even beyond all of that, which could just be perspective...

It's a US apple keyboard and they are using british spelling. I'd buy British spelling getting through on a British or international keyboard. That isn't.

That being said, it could all be real, and either way I'm still excited.
