Honestly, if you had someone good at making fake models and Photoshop, I think you could make this with some screenshots of existing zones.

It's not like you have to make it animated, and the dwarf and Direhorn look like they are pasted on top of the image anyways.

On the other hand, I'm not sure why a leaker would take the time to show something this, I dunno, pedestrian. A dwarf, a harpy, a rock dino, and zones that don't look unique in any particular way. The place isn't supposed to be Outland or Shadowlands level of weird but at least fake some landmark or whatever.

Occam's razor to me says they're a bit more likely to be real than not due to the effort involved in making it vs the effort involved in leaking it.

The webpage leaks however don't help its case. Again if you can get the webpage why not just reveal the name of the xpack and not just the places that are Avaloren and Khaz Algar, the two names we happen to actually know?

I'm still convinced that these images are legit. Because DF is much shorter, they had only enough time to reuse assets and cobble them together into something else.

Imagine a Zuldazar leak that only focused on the trees. Or a Kul Tiran leak where all you saw were the fact that there gnomes there.

Pretty sure the WMO from Hinterlands has the statue tied in with the building going into the mountainside, all we see is the statue portion of it and the beak on the new one is more rounded. Where as the literal comparison here shows how the old beak just fucking takes a cliff-level nosedive. And all we know so far is that these Dwarves have very similar shit to what the Khaz Modan Dwarves do. Like.. yeah, it's an uprez. That's not weighting it to either side when you consider the only, limited context of these Dwarves that we know about.

You know what I expect to see in the next expac? An updated giraffe model. Those weird unique models from Zaralek look like giraffe bodies with short necks. Giraffes are still one of the models we haven't seen an update for yet. Giraffe like mob in Dragonflight but no actual giraffe? Giraffes in 11.0. That is my official prediction for 11.0 and that's all I'm committing to.

I would be fine with a world revamp using reused assets though? It still provides a fresh and revitalized feeling to the world we love, reusing them in existing places makes sense. Reusing them for an entirely brand new continent does not unless it's a patch.

As people generally expect a lot of assets to be reused for a revamp, and revisiting Azeroth is the entire selling point of it.

Perhaps that just means they've very little to say about the other products, so being able to talk about the next WoW patch, AND the future of Classic, AND an expansion just automatically puts WoW in the lead.

Honestly, I would be more inclined to believe it might have been real if it didn't have the link to the previous webpage. That one was just all around suspect. Why would someone leak a Snapchat? Wouldn't that just immediately ring alarm bells when it's obvious who leaked it?

I also don’t think some of the “reused assets” aren’t actually reused assets, not in the direct 1-1 way they’re meaning.

Unless people mean rigs too, but then good luck finding many new rigs in an expansion.

Honestly it always feels immersion breaking when high elf ruins from one area build in largely the same time period and homogenous culture look completely different somewhere else under the same constraints.
