The "hopium" for 10.3 Is the tweets by the man himself.

Then streamers/youtubers constantly talking about how WoW will have more stuff than normal shown at blizzcon this year.

And that's totally fine. But it doesn't mean that a 10.3 is happening. Don't forget Warcraft Rumble, potential Reforged re-release and of course the WoW expansion. Tland don't forget WoW Classic.

Maybe I am just out of touch with work culture. But the "webpage is working" just seemed like a contrived scenario.
Maybe it's something that happens though, and people just enjoy setting up these weirdly specific images, rather than say, the version of the webpage you see when you hit refresh and you have the big logo on top.

- why would it be 10.3 when not even 10.2 is out, you cant really make a demo from a patch like that

All i see is that Khadgar/Kalecgos are glowing with PURPLEish (i know its Arcane) vs Iridikron glowing with LIGHT'ish (i know its Earth).

Not really. Even if they did, it still isn't enough to convince otherwise (and in my case, their evidence is only affirming my suspicions that it is legit).

New headcanon that the people trying so hard to debunk it are blizzard employees to throw us off.

I am convinced that a nonzero amount of people in this thread will not even believe the expansion as it's streaming live from blizzcon, because it goes against their made up proof that they have doubled down on.

Expect 11.1 Undermine or partial work revamp to be trending

I'm not saying it's real or fake, just that using "re-used assets" as a reason why it's fake is silly.

I am one of those continuing to bring up the notion of reused assets.

No where did I say this was fake. I just don't think it's patch 11.0 "Reused Assets" I think it's Patch 10.3, and we'll be pleasantly surprised by it as a way to end Dragonflight with a bigger than normal "Timeless isles" patch about Uldaz.

I still think the fact that nothing in the Avaloren leak is weird at all or strange at all is the biggest hint towards it being fake.

It's a new zone that has been completely devoid of Titan influence and "Kalimdor" influence for what could be hundreds of thousands of years, depending on when it was sealed off.

That's a good point.

When screenshots of the Dracthyr Evoker in action were leaked, the background looked completely different to anything we had ever seen before (because it was the Forbidden Reach) and that kind of threw people for a loop.

What's sorely lacking in these leaks is the presence of any kind of unique architecture. Every single expansion announcement trailer has shown off some cool new buildings or structures, but you don't get anything like that here. Makes the whole expansion seem extremely small in scope.

Like, if Blizzard were just going to do a standard Titan race expansion thing, I don't see the point of making it Avaloren. Like, calling it Khaz Algor, and leaving Avaloren out completely would have been the smarter leak direction.

And I say this as someone who wouldn't mind a Titan race themed thing.

I mean, again. There'd probably be architecture of them. It's their 'creations' that went rogue/are the heretics here, the things that would usually build said architecture if I'm not mistaken. In the screenshots it doesn't look well kept or totally run down, but that just.. makes sense, just because you'd disagree with the way your Boss did things, doesn't mean you wouldn't take some care of what you DO have, even if it still kind of relates to the 'old ways' in this scenario. In fact, the only times it shows titan architecture at all, there's also Titan Golems around and it's a literal jungle, I don't think Golems have the capability to rebel, necessarily? Perhaps that Zone hasn't been touched much by the heretics at all since their cut ties and it's just the remnant Golems taking care of it/keeping the lights on.

Even ignoring the UI stuff that people got into, I just think it's very convenient that the webpage was focused on these two specific things, rather than the top of the page shown when you hit refresh.

Also, while the first picture of the weird tall dwarf is weird, I think it's more pertinent to mention how the second picture on the phone looks terrible.

I don’t think AI has been able to reliably make convincing WoW models yet. Even some of the newer and better AIs that’ve recently come out.

I think a lot of the weirdness could be due to poor image quality (cell phone) and the fact that they’re taken from likely a video where the models/objects aren’t supposed to be “still”

The AI weirdness with the dwarf is specifically things AI struggles with. Hands, and proportions on angled characters.

Could of course just be the low quality and his pose, but still. Worth pointing out.

Re-used assets is one thing. It's that the zones both look like older zones, and don't show off anything exciting like what you would expect from press kits or trailers.

Teriz has a strong point.

While I think Avaloren is likely next expansion, i do yhink it would be better saved for later and have a few more expansions of build up.

Personally i would want it to be like this.

12.0 K'aresh
13.0 Back to Azeroth/ Avaloren.
