I disagree on the whole “oh no if these 4 still images are real the expansion will be underwhelming!” Sentiment on this thread from some posters.

Zones don’t make an expansion, gameplay/story typically does. SL was pretty decently hyped for example, but then the reveal came out and it was so empty. I remember sitting there being like “that’s it?”

Hell, the Dracthyr were real to some poster’s disappointment but it wasn’t the end of the world and DF was actually still pretty well received.

No one said that he would quit or something.
Just that the theme looks very underwhelming on those screenshots.
We've just had fire, ice, earth and wind dragons. Now we get fire, ice, earth and wind dwarf ogres?
That sounds very underwhelming, even though we could all be wrong and it's a killer xpac or it's just a good fake leak

Also, I don’t get why you think it “looks a lot like Dragonflight”. I don’t really get “dragonflight zone” vibes from the images.

Third picture looks like the rocky portion of Waking Shores, just minus trees and a different skybox.

Fourth picture looks like denser portions of Ohn'ahran Plains.

Hell, the Dracthyr were real to some poster’s disappointment but it wasn’t the end of the world and DF was actually still pretty well received.

Because you don't have to play the Dracthyr. However, you have to play through the zones. If the zones look like a retread of DF (and they do) it's going to really lead to an underwhelming expansion experience.

Yeah, the banner is creating an optical illusion, giving the feeling of some parts being tilted.

You can see the BfA website here. This was taken literally the day after it was announced at Blizzcon 2017. It has a general kind of structure to it but not nearly as much as the leaked one.

Same with Shadowlands here. It's concept is similar but it's different from Dragonflight and BfA. I couldn't find one for Legion but I imagine it's the same. Similar concept but different layout and design.

The one from the leaked images is the same layout as Dragonflight just with different buttons and stuff.

I'm sold on the pics being real even if the dwarf-like creature looks bland. But at least they're not doing the same thing they did with the Djaradin, barely showing them in the Dragonflight announcement videos and barely talking about them during the presentation as if the Djaradin were still work in progress or potentially removed in following weeks

Just the fact that they're similar proves that this is likely fake. Why on earth would Blizzard use two nearly identical pieces of concept art for two expansions in a row, set on different continents?

I'd definitely buy Blizzard doing that. "Here's an exciting new content! New races! Zones! Adventure! ....anyway here's the final patch, this was all about the Void Lords."

It absolutely is believable because Blizzard has become so formulaic and loves to do their already failed system or metric for the third or fourth time in a row, just because it might work out this time.
