I had to back out of this thread for a while as the animosity of people trying to prove eachother right and others out right insulting posters for speculating was disgusting, this was meant to be a fun thread, it's been ruined now!
Sure. But let's use that as an example:
Here is a press kit image.
"Woah, that's just a reskinned Draenei!" Sure, I guess. We can put aside that this is a completely different order of modification from the supposed leak's stone dwarf or direhorn reskin, but sure. It's just a Draenei.
So let's ignore that Draenei reskin altogether, and the reskinned grub. What do you have?
-Brand new faerie mobs right there.
-Brand new plant-pod doodads.
-Brand new swirly trees
-Brand new glow bushes
-brand new frond plants
This is my issue. That is what appears to be missing here. You can pause the DF or BfA feature trailers at any frame and there is some new architecture, or new doodads, or new creature, or new and interesting trees visible. Here, even if we assume these are "bad" pictures taken from a much better trailer, we have four different scenes with seemingly little to nothing new.
This is the one I believe you're referring to from Trueshot Lodge, the Visage of Ohn'ahra.
This is the Aerie Peak one.
Very similar, the Trueshot Lodge one like you said obviously being updated in quality, but a lot smaller.
Which would be a point we're I only talking about architecture. But let's assume I am for the sake of argument even if I'm not. Again, take a look at kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms.
Take a look at how much they changed throughout history of just the past 10,000 years. And Blizzard doesn't operate like that.
Even Dragons, which we've seen in the game since the start, we're given a unique architecture and clothing style
Ogre from WoD we're different looking than vanilla ogres who had up until then had caves and such as buildings.
This is not how blizzard operates on a "We're introducing something new".
Even the Zandalari were given a unique look and not just troll stuff, even before they were playable

Or is it? Blizzard do re-use the assets. But if these images are fake, the first thing people would look for are exactly the assets that are already in the game. I'm not an artist myself, but I can image it's ten times easier to create a believable leak with re-used assets than to make ones themself, especially those, that would fit the WoW aesthetics perfectly.
So it's not that much of a stretch to assume the leak based on the re-used assets is fake-ish, even more:
A) if that's literally a promotion material;
B) if the amount of the assets that has been pointed out to be re-used is pretty large for so little - just four pictures;
All I'm trying to say, is that if the leak had only original assets that would certainly spice the things up more - and since there are quite a few of re-used ones, and there's even a tree that's literally 1:1 copy, it's not surprising to see this as an argument - and saying for myself - pretty convicing one.

I dont claim to speak for anyone but myself, but I was one of the only MoP champions when it was current. I loved it grom start to finish. It aside from the content draught at the end, was a literal Masterpiece in my view. I got a lot of shit for liking it back in the day too.
I will not reply to posts that are non-constructive or contain flaming and/or trolling.
I can see it now:
"Introducing Patch 10.3: Storms of Avaloren
Traverse through not one, not two, not three, but FOUR distinct zones as we explore the continent of Avaloren. Along your adventures you'll run into an expansions worth of new creatures and locations. We made an entire expansion announcement video to coincide with a patch that we took great measure to subtly communicate to you didn't exist, so that we could surprise you with an entire expansion before we announce the REAL expansion - World of Warcraft: Secrets of the Copium Den
**Coming Fall of 2027 because we spent an entire expansion development cycle's budget on a patch**"
IMO it's not about 'reused' assets in the images - it's the lack of obviously new assets. Go back to any previous Features Overview trailer and try to find a shot that doesn't prominently feature new architecture/props front and center. You'll find maybe two.
Also, whenever there's a creature model shown there's always multiple and usually they're interacting in some way. The dwarf and the snow leopard are just chilling there with no purpose.
Man, I wish my fake leak was real now
