People forget that there is always just ONE actual tru leak. This means that every “leak” that mentions stuff other “leaks” mentioned is obvious fake.

This is the kinda stuff that makes me not want to get too hyped about certain things, like Classic having a 1 hour panel. They could just literally be talking about completely random things. Like how this one buff is now 15 seconds instead of 14 and spend 15 mins explaining why that is.

And a round table discussion about how epic and unique the hardcore experience of each dev was

Someone with mad skills needs to make some fake images to back 22mage22. Or make an underground zone fake so we can spend the next week pulling our hair out over how that one is the real deal guys because it obviously looks the best and all evidence supports that's where we are going next.

(I don't even have a problem with underground zones as long as they aren't all Zaralek. I enjoyed Deepholm.)

I'd love an underground zone that is a giant ice cave, like we go through in Ice Age. We see Old God minions and Titan keepers, and strange other things we cant ID

That's the best way to do it. I very much did not used to have this mindset and it only came from years of working on myself for other things but I go into basically any announcement or game/movie/book/whatever with no expectations and try and just take the thing for what it is for better or worse and it helps a lot.

I think the "let's assume it's a shit-tier expansion based on 4 low-quality screenshots" trend in here is even more obnoxious than the "leaker LARP battle" or Teriz posting. Like, there's likely to be a whole 2-2 1/2 minute feature trailer that'll show off way more than this.

Expansion Leak / WoW SoA / World of Warcraft - Storms of Avaloren

• Continent: Avaloren: Four zones – Khaz Algar, Agg’orand, The Everward, and Greyveil Glade (Stormy
snow-covered mountain region, rocky desert plains, a lush living jungle covering titan ruins with
unique moth-looking green dragons, and misty forest think of a more open space Grizzly Hills)
• The Algaren capital city is in Khaz Algar, think half above ground, half underground, more rocky and
less precisely carved looking Ironforge.
• Eight dungeons at launch (Four of which are 11.0 Season 1 Mythic+ dungeons).
• One raid at launch.
• One new battleground at launch.
• Dynamic flying carried through into Avaloren.
• No static flying at launch.
• New dynamic flying glyphs, one I’ve seen previewed is a really fast lightning boost.
• Level cap raised to 80.

• No new profession, but the Archaeology revamp might as well be.
• Pre-launch event includes helping the reformed Tyr’s guard fight the forces of Odyn (Travard has
received a unique model and plays our Khadgar, Magni, Bolvar role).
• We venture to Avaloren alongside the Tyr’s guard and Tyr himself in pursuit of Odyn.
• Odyn is in pursuit of Iridikron who is in pursuit of a “powerful titan artifact”. Odyn enraged by the 5
Dragonflight’s betrayal and the Horde/Alliance/Tyr’s guard’s choice to align with the Dragonflights
has turned him hostile towards us.
• The first portion of SoA will focus more on Odyn than Iridikron and the void.
• Xal’atath is back (and has also received a unique model).
• Silvermoon, Gilneas, and post-launch Lordaeron revamps with more to come.

These are the major things I can recall, feel free to ask any more specific questions, and if I can answer them I will.

Reposting to clarify: I forgot to put a bit about the Agg'ora, the Agg'ora are not the same as the Algaren. They are both stone races but the Agg'ora are much bigger than Orcs, I think a bit bigger than even Ogres? They are dusty colored and look more like a mix of Ogres, Kul'tiran, and Vrykrul.

I do want to say, that's also another fairly big reason to think these leaks are fake.

It's certainly possible to have multiple leaks.

But having two different leaks like this?
It's not in game screenshots and a promotional image. That indicates you have people on two different teams and companies that are leaking individual stuff.
That is far more realistic than two internal leaks (and the website and the screenshots at the time of leak would have both been internal) from two different people.

And I know, I know. You all will be like "But you are stretching to think that's a stretch".

-N'zoth escaped while we were fighting the Legion/N'zoth is getting freed by the sword
-Azshara raises Nazjatar from the ocean!
-Southseas expansion with all the islands we've ever heard of!

real leaks:
-Sylvanas destroys Teldrassil, Anduin destroys UC, people are stealing stuff from the sword impact, and also you get "VOID ELVES"


SL fake leaks:
-Lordaeron Revamp
-Northrend Revamp
-Sylvanas becomes the Lich Queen
-N'zoth is in the shadowlands now and drinking everyone's soul!

real leaks:
-Spirit healer cities in the sky! Bolvar turns blue and wields a warhammer now!

DF fake leaks:
-Lordaeron Revamp
-It's the dragon isles from the concept art and there's old gods on it!
-SL races are becoming allied races, seriously, please. Please? trust me!

I really hate that approach and hope we never get it again. It's really mean on devs too, you can logically expect them to not be the most charismatic or extroverted bunch and really not enjoy the whole play pretend thing

While I actually kind of dig the idea of big rock dwarves. I completely agree with you about the way everything was presented on the dragonflight reveal. There was simply no joy in it. As much as I like Dragonflight, the reveal itself was underwhelming to say the least. I really hope they lead with the features trailer again like they seem to do in most of the reveals.

Was there actually a second leaker? I remember someone who it turns out was obviously piggy backing on what scaleface was saying but any extra bit of info or deviation from what scaleface said was wrong.
