Exactly this. There are still so many fan favorites out there that have genuine fan bases still, A reveal like Ogres, Arrakoa in the feature trailer? everyone will go wild.

I'm dead sure very few people would actually main an Ogre in a serious way. Many want them, yeah, but my expectations are very low with those. For some reason I can only see random dudes trolling with them lol

My god, an Ogre model similar to the high quality Mok'nathal model, able to wear armor but also having one of those "Ogre-y" aesthetic heritage armors? I might have a heart attack and die on the spot!

personally getting new races, have always been the top tier new thing to get for me, especially in a reveal trailer. I though Goblin and Worgen was a cool reveal at blizzcon.

People have asked for literally every single race in the game to be playable at one point or another. I saw people clamoring for Niffen, even, lol.

Blizz's on record as saying they'll add races when they feel its appropriate in the story. WoD would've been the perfect time for Arakkoa and Ogres, but we all know how the crunch went with that xpac. Lots of cut content. When it comes down to it, a new race is probably the first idea that gets cut because it adds very little gameplay past their unlock quest and starter zone, if they even get one.

Depending on the animations and if they go insane with 2 headed orges I could really see the appeal.

I do think you are right, in the sense Ogres are obviously big, slightly clunky and obviously not that humanoid/pretty looking, but nevertheles I do think they could generate more hype then pandas or gnomes for example. Only if it was purely for fan service, I think the community would appreciate it.
