Well, assume there's a heavy sigh on the fact that I very brazenly did not mention the person this was actually aimed at in the post itself or at the very least Quote them, but it's cool to see how many different takes of what this Post was, people can come up with. Outside of that, not really in the early morning mood of TL;DRing the whole discussion, if you saw this post, you saw the rest of the discussion around that, which would also mean you'd see the post that better contextualizes the original intention. The text though, oh 100% that was written as baity as possible, but people have the option not to hook themselves and I'm more than willing to point it out blatantly. Sometimes I get to have just an itsy bitsy shred of fun, we can't leave it all to the Hungering Void that is Teriz.
That being said, I think I get the idea behind why you're asking for that comparison and I'll gladly oblige. So anyway, I just took MoP and thought "might as well just do the whole thing from there and onward. It's not
everything, but it's most of
modern.
So here you go.

The Avaloren one seems to follow the DF Font, but returns to actually coloring it slightly, at least for Avaloren itself, whilst also adding that glare/glow effect the font used to have on MoP and Legion (and quite possibly some of the few earlier ones). As far as Locations go, I mean. It still doesn't say much, when you consider that DF just about broke a 2 expansion trend where we were shown multiple shots while the caption was up. And often the things shown, honestly? Aren't always very significant. Like the Temple from Shen-zin Su, or just the random ass rock formation from Frostfire, Nar'thalas Academy on it's own wouldn't necessarily be insane by any means, if Dalaran wasn't on there. The second Zandalar shot is just showcasing the race, the Maldraxxus shot and Ardenweald shot are both really weak for what those Zones had to offer, while Bastion is alright and Revendreth just steals the show. Dragonflight manages to capture quite a bit with it's shot.
There isn't an established trend to follow here with anything, other than, yeah.. more often than not it's some type of Landmark, but it doesn't actually have to be significant in the long run, at all. So off the previous reveal trailers, you can get a few things. The first picture with the Avaloren caption is set at the start of it's camera pan for the shot in question. It's maybe a second into the camera pan for the shot, which is only halfway through the pan on average. The speed varies, more often than not, it's the central portion of the shot that's important, which would actually draw attention away from the pine forest that most of the screenshot focuses on, but rather it would go on to either swiftly move towards the "Misty" Mountains in the back or transition into a close-up shot of the Mountains with the caption still on screen.
