Teriz's absence was announced at 1:06 AM last night (CET). At 1:08 CET tonight, Kavikor made this comment,

Teriz's post is the 2nd post on page 2025, while Kavikor's is the 2nd post on page 2076. It's therefore exactly 51 pages in between, and we are thereby short 19 pages per 24 hours in Teriz's absence.

Edit: Precisely 24 hours prior to Teriz announcing his departure, he posted this on page 1950,

Iridikron is too new. We know next to nothing about Xal.

If you’re pushing out a new landmass, you need a strong character to carry it. If you have a known landmass, your character doesn’t have to be as strong, but they still should be known. For example, Sylvanas, arguably the most popular character in WoW carrying the Shadowlands (along with Anduin and Tyrande). Meanwhile you had Sylvanas and an ensemble (Saurfang, Jaina, Anduin, and Azshara) carrying BFA.

In Dragonflight we had Alex, Wrathion, Kalecgos, Nozdormu, and Ebyssian carrying the expansion.

Compare that crop to the crop you mentioned, and you see the problem.

So, in Teriz's presence, we were doing ~75 posts per day between the same hours.

Troll feet got away with it for a long time, but they addressed it with Zandalari.
Even before Transmog, all you could do was hide your helmet and cape regardless of how you looked. You're bringing pants into this and equating it to helmets which has been a toggle since Classic.

Like I said, not everyone likes to wear helmets on their characters. So, if Sethrak don't need to wear helmets, why make them? Especially since players have been able to toggle the helmet option since the beginning.

As for the whole Naga/Pants thing.. that's a completely different matter.

It is super weird still (to me) that Dracthyr cant wear gear when Worgen and Tauren can.

Based on his comments I think it's a prediction rather than a leak.

What would you guys like to see as features in the next one?
Player housing, archeology revamp, and path of the titans a quality of life account wide progression system.

I don't think we've actually ever been told.

Part of the problem is Blizzard actually reports this differently than most other places. You'll see things like "We had 500 people working on the game and then additional support staff"

Blizzard is similar, to my understanding but less consolidated. I.E. They have Teams.

Team 2 for WoW is generally 100-300 people as of 2018. They added another hundred or so with the studio they just purchased, for 400 people. But that isn't really all who touch the game. It's just the people focused on the game.

That's considerably more than I had expected, honestly! But I guess there's quite a lot of different sub-teams, it's not like they have 300 people on the art team

I wish we had some exdevs who could talk about what happened with production after Legion and explain what the original plans for some of these ideas and how they changed.

I want to disagree but after the new book...I can't care about lore anymore

No matter what happens for 11.0, I want a super cool capital city like Valdrakken. I'll miss the Dragon Isles a lot.

I agree. As I said, it's extremely high-effort, not extremely difficult; I stopped at pretty difficult. While it may have been time-consuming to go through the trouble of altering those models, it's still something that one can acquire the means to do. I think the primary tell is the high level of reused textures and models. I don't know if there's a single wholly-original model in any of those images.

Honestly, those "behind the curtain" interviews are catnip to me. I also really love random old devs discussing their time working on WoW in vanilla and all the ideas and vague plans they had that never came to fruition
