I mean you have to admit writing took a big nosedive after Legion. It has never been good but since BFA its just a mess.
I will not reply to posts that are non-constructive or contain flaming and/or trolling.

Or we could stop being dramatic about Shadowlands "True wow died" I feel like I just time traveled to 2012, with that statement.

They also had to deal with quite a lot of bad behavior behind the scenes and the way I understand it, Blizz had to clean up Afriasbi's "mess"(Teldrassil burning and well letting the writing team have to deal with that...in a shock to them).

That's to say that his name is "", because he's just that void-y that he even a-void-ed a name.

Well to be fair Shadowlands' failures are hard to overstate.
This is a signature of an ailing giant, boundless in pride, wit and strength.
Yet also as humble as health and humor permit.

Furthermore, I consider that Carthage Slam must be destroyed.

The writing in Wrath was terrible, the writing in WoD was all over the place, TBC was an enormous dumpsterfire, so much so that they had to retcon the entire expansion.

MoP is the outlier, not "NuLore". It's the only expansion with a semblance of good writing and themes. All the other expansions (Shadowlands included) are on par with eachother.

True WoW (and Warcraft) is schlock with rules of cool where things just happen because they are cool, simple as.

If you think about anything from TBC/Wrath and to a certain extent Cata for more than 5 minutes you'll realize it's just poorly written altogether.

Possible cause for some fun speculation:

Rachel Vought, a Senior Game Designer who designs quests and (according to heir own bio) likes Green dragons, wrote the following on Twitter a few moments ago:

"Current status: When was the last time we built something like this? I'm sure we did this. Also me: You built something like this in 8.1. It took you three weeks. Me: <thousand yard stare> #GameDesignThings".

So if we look back at 8.1, notable features were:

    - New Raid: Battle of Dazar'alor
    - New Raid: Crucible of Storms
    - Battle for Azeroth Season 2
    - New Warfront: The Battle for Darkshore
    - Heritage Armor Questlines (Dwarves and Blood Elves)
    - Faction Assaults
    - New Missions
    - New Quests
    - Two New Island Expeditions
    - Some tweaks to legacy raids and dungeons
    - New Heart of Azeroth traits
    - Azerite gear vendor
    - New follower equipment
    - New heirlooms
    - Paragon reputations
    - New PVP brawl
    - Gnomeregan battle pet dungeons

What do you think it could be?

I feel like Heritage Armour sets are out of the question, because we just had two of those and it doesn't feel like she'd "forget" having just done that. Also she says we specifically did it for 8.1.

According to her online work profile, it seems like she was involved directly with quests involving Zuldazar, the Loa Jani, Darkshore, Heart of Azeroth and Wrathion during BfA. In Dragonflight she worked a lot on the Green dragon stuff, and in Shadowlands a bunch of Ardenweald and Ysera stuff.

A warfront seems odd since they factions aren't really at war, and I'm not sure you'd call it that if it was against some random NPC faction.

But she says something like this. Not necessarily something exactly like this. And again, we, not necessarily her alone.

So perhaps it's a warfront-like experience, with a series of quests surrounding a major event or battle? Probably not for 8.1, because that's less than a month away. I doubt they'd make a bunch of quests right up until the shipping date.

But perhaps the 10.1.5 and 10.1.7 patches are what we're looking at. They're supposed to contain a megadungeon, world events, story & quests, and a holiday refresh.

So could the megadungeon be green dragon focused and launch alongside a bunch of world events, involving the green dragonflight and/or the Emerald Dream?

I got a sneaking suspicion that one of the pride months this expansion they're do something with chromie, to show the transness in game.
So it's legitimised, and not just in some fridge book.

If past ones are any indication, it'll probably be something less directly related or even a completely unrelated storyline. Karazhan was a secondary front not directly connected to the main campaign on the Broken Isles, Mechagon had zero connection to the primary story of BfA and Tazavesh was also only vaguely tied to the story of SL.

My bet for the moment is on the Decatriarch resurfacing.

Weird, i distinctly remember saying influence. Maybe you should re-read that before you start railing against people you don't actually disagree with.

One of the pride months? It's just June.

That is my guess as well. My main reservation about it is that we are getting Brackenhide in S2 instead of S1. Why have the gnoll dungeon if you are also going to have a Megadungeon that will at least feature gnolls at the same time? But that is a minor concern since the megadungeon will not join the M+ rotation before S3 the earliest.

You can avoid taking the candle if you take the whole kobold.

Once upon a time, not long ago I once posted that "candles" could be used as a form of currency for virmen. Ogres do make for a curious, albeit sinister twist to my earlier post.

The biggest issues here is the need for an explanation of where have female ogres been all these years (and why they're seemingly never around in just about every instance that we've encountered Ogres) and also why they're suddenly being playable.
