The mount I datamined shared assets of in this thread a few weeks ago and which I am now assuming is the Auspicious Arborwyrm is the mount teased as a future lunar/chinese new year reward in the 12mo sub bundle (and is present in both classic and retail for some reason).

As far as I can tell it is separate from what we assume is the preorder mount: the Algarian Stormrider.

given the quality of the image of the dwarf, i actually cannot make out any obvious "AI" issues

incredibly zoomed in i can make out all 4 fingers and it may look a little wonky but i would hesitate to say "this is AI" w/o a sharper image

given that the Agg'orond creature is in both image leaks is just too favorable for me to outright dismiss either of these things based on some grammar and faded artwork

Look at the staff. Look at the top of the staff above his hand and the bottom of the staff below his hand. Even unzoomed, you can see (once it's pointed out) they don't line up, or even remotely line up.

The hand being weird is just something on top of that.

As far as I’m aware, the only reason to think it’s NOT a dragon is the mysterious gryphon texture, am I correct? Cause personally I still hope/believe it could be a green/storm dragon-esque mount lol

im was thinking about a thing

lets see the reasons each class can be liberated for all races

paladin - gameplaywise : need mounts , lorewise : can be linked with tyr quest to have more paladins , but we have a problem with void elf and unded (counter argument , lightforged warlock exists)

shaman - gameplaywise : need 5 totens , lorewise : can be from vyranoth forces

druid - gameplaywise : need the race forms (can be mitigated with the new forms from 10.2 + a generic one to each) , lorewise : 10.2.0/.5 questiline can explain why

heroics

dk (for dracthyr ) - gameplaywise : need customization , can reuse the allied race/pandarem intro , lorewise : we need some dracthyr kinda dead , you know

demon hunter (for allied elfs , orcs and draineis or all races) - gameplaywise : need new intro , need customisation , lorewise : need reason to have more DH , problem of lightforged DH (contraargument : you guessed ,lightforged warlock)

enkover (to all races ) : is not gonna happen lol

The Algarian part. The not-dwarves of Khaz Algar seem to show some surprising parallel evolution to the dwarves we know. That could mean an affinity for gryphons or something gryphon-like. This connection is further reinforced by a datamined trading post transmog "Stormrider's Stormhammer" - which have no reference to Algarian but reinforce the connection of "Stormrider" with hammer swinging dwarven gryphon riders.

The current writers think that you create a sympathetic villain by making the original good guys turn out to be bad guys. From what I've seen on the PTR, Danuser's anti-Titan crusade continues.

Our most prolific "leaker" has essentially been shut down. As has discussion about Tinkers. So, things are going to probably remain slow until something new shows up.

It's actually kinda weird we have not indeed seen any wind drakes nor stone drakes. Storm drakes? Sure, but not any of the former. Even more so if we take into account they're elemental related and the Incarnates are some sort of draconic elemental lords.

I take this with a grain of salt since the book has not been officially released, but there seems to be information that the incarnates aren't that closely related to the elements. Iridikron even states that he despises his new form and being infused with an element. They are more like a dark shaman in that sense.

Maybe the wind and storm drakes were not allowed to travel to the dragon isles because therazane and whoever is the current windlord didn't want them to. Or they are closer to the elements than to dragons and simply didn't care.
But i agree that its a bit weird we go around and collect lost dragonflights and forget about them.
