Again, those were zone preview screens, i don't care what the trailer is.

Their point is Blizz show zone previews inside features videos, e.g. the Shadowlands Features Overview includes 'explore the Shadowlands!' as a feature and previews the zones alongside it. That's why they're being referred to as such.

We still have at least two patches after 10.2; (10.2.5, 10.2.7). We're not going to immediately jump from 10.2 to 11.0. 11.0 comes out in late 2024.

Of course not, those patch will be the bridge between DF and 11.0 and will probably dive into that green dragon and what ever points of interest are in avaloren for Odyn and Tyr.

Conversely, I'm doubtful we'll hear anything about that Green dragon until we get there. It's a small teaser that helps to set the stage so that they can place green dragon mobs there and not have people ask 'wtf how did they get here?'

Over the weekend I got 3rd hand confirmation (colleague of an ex-colleague type of thing) that the Features Overview screens are real.
As I said take this with a 50kg bag of salt since its literally a "friend of a friend" situation.(Even I am not taking it 100% for serious)
Tbh if true then I am a bit disappointed at least from the small subarea we can see of each zone. The wasteland one looks cool, but others are very basic.

Yeah, like i honestly don't care that much about next expansion theme anymore, i will wait to see the features, but since i saw this leak with this new race im like "fuck no" because i know blizzard might choose to go this way if leak happens to be real.

For people that don't care about ogres or mok'nathal it's nothing if some avaloren offshoot of ogres gets added, but as a fan with a lot of hopium for one of original ones to appear for years and years, it would be pretty much a final nail in the coffin.

I was leaning more towards them being fake after the Taliesin video - he made some good points and knows people at Blizzard. But he has also said that real leaks are bad. It is possible he was deflecting for the sake of friends he has at Blizzard.

What I'm about to say may sound snarky and it's 100% not intended to. But:

I love how violently honest you're being about this. Like you heard something, but are self-acknowledging it may have been total BS. But you're still excited so you want to talk about it. I think I'd do the same thing lol.

The only thing that's really exciting about those initial 4 slides (to me) is the new race. Otherwise yea, feel like the zones look samey. All of that said, it's just four small stills. There's a lot more that could be behind it.


My #1 concern for this expansion is that we've entered a "formulaic" almost FFXIV like cadence where we get: 8 dungeons, 3 raids, and new zones that are just variants of "go chase the rare".

I think the vaulks + ring addition was an absolute blast. I'd love to see more and more content like that.
