Why not? They don't have to waste time on borrowed powers. They can spend that time now on new classes.

While I also doubt it, I hope that it would at least be a class without a shitty gimmik like a fugly race with broken transmog system and annoying mechanics...

I mean there are plenty of engineering quests, like in Legion for example. So it’s clearly part of lore somewhere.

But it's not. Professions are optional content not attached to lore and don't directly effect your character. You can through WoW from level 1 to 70 and never do any professions, or have anything to do with professions.

Which still is a nonissue if that’s already a thing in the setting / gameplay.

The setting states plainly that Gnomes and Goblins are steeped in technology, not Elves.

Kakapo exist in-game so I'm going to need a Kakapo race in 11.0, anything else will gravely disappoint me and I will leave these forums forever (but I'll actually be back in a day).

Well, i can be a Kakapo Druid... for 10 minutes. Provided i don't get into combat.

My guess is that they'll allow Dracthyr to be other classes after DF. Not sure what else we'll see. More race/class combos across the board, I guess? I will admit, I tend to like new races over classes as well.

Adding shaman, paladin and druid for all races (save dracthys) is almost 100% assured.

Its because they arent for Hallows Eve. They are for the upcoming Halloween town zone for 11.0.

It's funny how he spends so much time being told "no tinkers for you, your idea sucks and I hope you never get your proper racial fantasy class" to gatekeeping the hell out of the concept and telling anyone who wants to be a draenei or orc or whatever and still play a tech based class "no tinkers for you, your idea is bad and wrong and Blizzard will never give you your proper racial fantasy class!"

Yeah, they weren't backported to live so we won't see them until Hallows End 2024. We -might- for Pilgrim's Bounty if they've actually replaced all the model references yet as these are new assets, not guaranteed replacements for current ones.

I kept looking at many of those models IG thinking "damn those don't look good for updated models"... now I understand why haha! Thanks Marla!

We could always get new specs.

Which i think is vastly more likely to happen than a new class.

I would say the opposite:
- A new class sells better than adding new specs to existing classes.
- Adding new specs force the design into the existing framework of the class (theme and gameplay)
- A new class is a clean canvas to try new mechanics (like evoker with the empowered and support abilities)

Maaaaaybe they did not use them because they are going to reveal the revamp for 11.0 and they are going to report how they have been updating assets and how they are going to keep doing it by waves oftenly from 10.2.5 on

If every other class is playable on every race why would tinkers not be? I can see maybe they would be restricted for the expansion they release in but they absolutely should be playable on every race at some point.
