I love all the positivity around Tinkers, I too hope for its inclusion and it’s release sooner rather than later.

But let’s not bicker about hypotheticals, blizzard will do what they’ll do regardless of our opinions as to just how x/y thing will be embodied.

Whether it be claw pack, mech, abilities, specs, races, etc. there’s really no right or wrong, there’s only what Blizzard ends up developing.

A legit flame thrower, or cc ability to ‘grab’ a target with a mechanical claw and move them freely for X duration would be epic.

I’d personally be ecstatic trundling around the a claw pack.

Sure, it could be extended if they truly want to fix everything on one map, but they also have other ways of going about making things feel larger now with the seamless teleporting.

I mean, that seems like the harder way of going about it, they can also just increase the max size which although difficult would not be as hard as shrinking/scaling down everything.

It's honestly quite impressive, but the stuff I find is also very much 'not to be trusted' as I have to reverse engineer what they're doing and there's a lot of errors that can pop up in that, so I'd also appreciate it far more if Blizzard did deeper dives into this stuff, which is why I'm sad there don't appear to be any dev panels this BlizzCon.

If i'm not mistaken is the old stack of continents and loading them as needed but made more quickly

    Yes.

It sure feels large, but it wouldn't be possible to put most of the continents on here. Something else that should be kept in mind is that space isn't the only reason maps are separated, there's various technical reasons on why you'd want to keep continents separated.

Thank you (and to the OP)! Exactly what we need when discussing potential subdivisions of the continents for a revamp. I thought 3 subdivisions per continent would be roughly equivalent to zones sizes on the Dragon Isles, but it looks like that would be too few (Northern Kalimdor alone is more than 2 DI zones). 4 might work but 5 is probably more realistic. That's a whole expansion per continent.

How would people feel about Theramore being remade into a capital city? Central Kalimdor could have a really nostalgic Horde vs. Alliance conflict storyline.

Raid boss fight where "you think you do but you don't" is thrown around!

Like to prevent the ducks from escaping and taking over all the other landmasses.

I think the major issue would be having players on the "same virtual space", and all their interactions and actions being processed at the same server.
Keeping the continents on separate locations gets the loading of all the actions being done by each player less heavy for the server i would guess.
If i'm not mistaken i have read some years ago that each continent is processed in a different Thread on the server.

My idea for travel between continents using dragon riding in a revamp of both continents was flying through portals like Sliders!

Yep, that's one of the important reasons for sure.

Yeah, how about you show me what an Avaloren looks like. We knew what a Pandaren looked like from the beginning because we had Chen Stormstout from the beginning. That alone places Pandaria leaps and bounds ahead of Avaloren in terms of our knowledge about that location.

Assuming Amirdrassil crosses over into the real world, we'd be bringing over something from both Life and Death, and we saw how Aman'thul reacted to a previous Tree of Life being planted in Azeroth. I could see some of the Titan Keepers reacting similarly. The Aspects and Vyranoth getting blessed by it would definitely earn the disapproval of Odyn. Not sure about Tyr, he could go either way. So yeah, the ending might have something to do with the Titan Keepers reacting to Amirdrassil.
I could see Tyr granting the Dragons their ability to reproduce back as a sign of good will. Hes either going to be an antagonist or our ally. Id rather him be an ally since hes so cool.

In regards to features, I'm really hoping for cross armor type mogging. Between mogging naked and all these crazy cosmetic armor pieces and sets, it make no sense to not be able to do it.

Hell I can look like a straight up mage with the necrolord korthia gear and the low res purple witch hat cosmetic as a paladin

Hard to keep track as to who was here and when but it turned out Algeran (spelling) and 22mage22 were probably the same person so the leaks both were talking about are fake.
