Surely the next expac is going to be a big deal, being that it will likely release during the 20th anniversary of WoW. Surely they would want to "kitchen sink" it, right?

I think that could be due to the prompt though, that's as simple as saying "unpacked boxes" vs "room full of boxes" in an AI prompt, or something along those lines
I remember this being a huge issue with DALL-E 2 when it first came out. If you asked for a "warehouse with a few cardboard boxes", it would fill the entire room and more or less ignore the rest of the prompt if you asked it to have something else in the warehouse. I guess this is a remnant of that oddity.![]()
You can just edit the prompt to specify "open cardboard boxes" and you'll get them. I wouldn't look too hard into the details here, the point is that you can—with the right prompt—create the exact image that was shared. I would just move on from it at this point, it's pretty obvious that it's AI.
General disclaimer that I am not saying the image are in fact real:
A single wooden pallet can hold a great deal of weight; we once had about a dozen pallets that had crates of marble on them, I want to say they were in the area of 1500-1800 lbs in total, and they sat undisturbed for years. Forklifts are designed to hold up to 10,000 lbs and it mostly picks up stuff on pallets, so the weight limit is pretty high.
Just a ballpark guess that the weight of those pillars is probably a few hundred pounds, at most, and in terms of pallet load, that's like holding a paper plate on your hand.
"Can't you see this is the last act of a desperate man?"
"We don't care if it's the first act of Henry the Fifth, we're leaving!"
If the image was indeed real and not AI and they're making a giant set based on the next expansion, how would they stop it from leaking the very moment the con opens? They'd want to announce it on stage and keep it a secret until then.
