"So I guess the details are one thing. But when it comes to the broader strokes of the expansion's theme, it seems likely that we've got:
The Harbinger (likely Xal'atath), Queen Azshara, and Iridikron will cause a threat to Azeroth, comprised of the Void and possibly elemental forces. Other Old Gods may or may not be involved. It is unclear how closely their goals align, but Azshara wants to rule while the Harbinger wants to carry out an awakening.
Khaz Algar will be the location, or one of them. It might have something to with Avaloren, which might be on the other side of Azeroth. But it could be something closer to home. There's a chance it is below ground, but not guaranteed.
Given that they will have just been empowered at this point, the Dragon Aspects are likely to be part of the story. So is Thrall, the World Shaman.
Gryphons, flying, storms, the elements, etc. seems like they'll be part of the expansion, but it remains to be seen to what degree. "

"World of Warcraft: Beyond the Storm is a neat name.
Homage to Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness, a bit.
Alliance and Horde ships, sailing across the sea, are torn to pieces by the storm. We fly over it with our Stormrider.
We manage to save some of the shipwrecked crew members and salvage a few supplies. Enough to begin a scrappy outpost.
Already, the Children of the First Flesh, the enslaved dwarves of Khaz Algar, are working hard to unearth Elun'Ahir's heart for their master, while the unyielding brood of Erinithria does what it can to protect it. It's a losing struggle, and every day the Harbinger comes closer to her goal: to resurrect her former body; XAL'ATATH, GOD OF LIFE AND DEATH, RETURNS. "

"Shadows of Azeroth would have to be one of these two for me to be interested:
1. Old God shenanigans below ground or in a separate "Black Empire dimension"
2. Dark Elune, nightfall, eclipse, etc. Maybe connected to some Old God prophecy, you know how she turns dark when the Night Warrior is born.
That said, I think it's more probable, and more interesting quite frankly, if the title is something like Storms of Azeroth. It would seem pretty obvious, since almost all lore clues involve storms somehow. "
