Aren't AI detectors notoriously bad at actually detecting AI? I remember people trying to use one to detect ChatGP but it constantly detected actual written work as AI.

The thing about the first image that made me think it was real was the pillar in the back. It looks very flat, but I thought that was because it was under construction. It's going to get painted and covered in roots just like the other pillars.

And the art style of the pillars is very, very WoW. Like those could be based off of actual in-game assets from the next expansion. They aren't generic props, they have style.

Generating images of real world props that look fake but that also follow the art direction of a videogame seems next level to me. If its AI, the prompt engineer deserves serious credit.

You would also have to "disassemble" the strip of the four screens and somehow remove the text and THEN upload them serperately. But it is obvious, that it is not (only) AI, but something that was handcrafted with probably a combination of AI backgrounds and using existing assets.

I think its increadibly funny how everyone yesterday debated on whether the blizzcon pictures are AI generated or not, like "The box is slightly more curved than other boxes, this must be an AI Image" while noone considered these three things: the place looks nothing like the convention area of Blizzcon, the picture is made from an unbelievable angle/place and blizzcon is about the big revealso there won't be huge ass void pillars visible before the show.

Actually on this point, I can confirm that the convention area of the shot does line up nearly perfectly with the actual convention center in Anaheim. My wife works for a company that took part in the Produce Expo that was held there last week, and a few pictures her coworkers brought back with her match up eerily well with the original "leak" of the Blizzcon set, in particular the floor and ceiling. Just, you know, with produce on display rather than voidy stuff.

Doesn't necessarily mean anything, but the image does match up with what the Anaheim Convention Center looks like.

holy moly. i really believed that this leak season will be awesome due to ai, and we wil have so much quality stuff to analyze which will spice all these things up. it went the other way around

Yeah, i thought maybe it will give me different outcomes every time i reupload it, but its always 43.3.
Other fake photos of the stage always are in 93-98% range.

with how easy it is to make AI shit now it wouldnt surprise me if we're gonna start getting major patch leaks too. Imagine leaks for 11.1 and 11.2 when the time comes lol

OpenAI had a program designed to determine if stuff was created by AI but discontinued it because their own in-house tool didn't show a high correlation of being able to make determinations about stuff their own AI created.

This stuff isn't as simple as this.

The art in the background is the biggest giveaway that the whole thing is fake. Usually the focal point in an artwork is something interesting, but here it's just a gryphon flying next to a random black tower that looks incredibly bland.

Have they ever had set dressing like these void pillars at any Blizzcon in the past? I've never been to Blizzcon, but I've watched every stream, and I don't remember anything like this.

I split the four zones into separate screenshots.

1st one was 20.7% (avaloren)
2nd one was 1.6% (frosty)
3rd one was 5.7% (harpy)
4th one was 39.9% (dino)

I know they're seen as faked rather than AI but 40% seems high to me.

i'd say these ai identificators can be notoriously bad so unless it's 70%+ i'd say i can be 'real'
