Alternately, he just figured that over a sufficiently long timeline, it worked out the same. Keepers aren't exactly in a hurry to go somewhere.

I guess thats why he agreed. The book mentions that only 1 out of 4 eggs reaches adulthood. Just taking abandoned eggs is more than enough to outnumber primal dragons pretty quickly.

Maybe he grew closer to the dragons in that time and considered them friends by the time Alex asked - so he reconsidered his previous rigid view.

Tbh, his more emotional/considerate behaviour comes from the times not too long before his death. Him acknowledging the un-perfect/un-Orderly creatures (mortals) as worthy of being allowed to protect Azeroth on their own would happen much later.

Custom WoW servers have really taken up that "modding community" mantle for WoW. There are some really great ideas being implemented. Sucks that there's no way to really do it in an ethical way. But I expect private server content to become more prominent in future leak seasons.

It was not established in the novel that he minded the ordered dragons trying to establish cooperation with the primals or that he did things to put a wrench in that process.
I think it was about him trying to make sure the incoming threat of the Incarnates is crippled/neutralized before it's too severe.

Which would line up with him being unwittingly responsible for their creation rather well.
