2023 was an amazing year for gaming with a vast field of GOTY candidates and imo almost none of those games were geared towards Gen Z. I mean Alan Wake2, BG3, Hogwarts (this is a young millenial IP, NOT a Gen Z IP), Zelda?

I'm still 60/40 leaning on fakes. There are some weird things that don't add up for me, but could easily be from the pics being stills of a video, so no idea
Anyway in all honesty Blizzard has a glaring problem of space. The "old guard" up until legion just re-used old places and characters (except for Pandaria) without building meaningfull new stories. Now they must set their stories somewhere, revamping EK/Kalimdor and setting them here is an option, while creating new landmasses is another one. I think Avaloren is going to happen one way or another.

One issue here is if Blizzard would really make two expacks so similar one after the other. But I have no idea, so let's wait and see.

From what I've read about the Wowhead article, it's really more of an Overwatch thing if they're bringing a K-pop group... though WoW does need new blood, there's only so much they can do to fuel off nostalgia.

If they want WoW to have new blood they need to get WoW to xbox game pass ASAP and introduce smaller scale mythic raiding.

The problem with game pass is how they monetize and sell the expansions to the game - they'd need to revamp that.

Ok so I mentioned this earlier but I did some digging. This is the image the social team posted a month ago, it has a copy of the image inside itself as a recurring joke, there are two elements that are changed, aside from missing pins and threads on the small version.

The hat in the image that disappeared in the nested one, disappears. That hat was just put on the trading post. Both backgrounds of the trading post images are eastern kingdoms, next to where it says "Forbidding Sea". (The trading post images are a straight cut through the continent).

The hat, kalimdor, the 'old god?' / 'new god?'/ thing could be pushed into something to do with the kalimdor sword hole

Kalimdor revamp. new kalimdor acts as a "different" continent to current kalimdor, so can travel between the two through a time portal in org and hyjal.
overall story on kalimdor is more simple, grounded stories. mulg

This is kinda interesting as a way to embiggen and DOES match with the youtube music video portal that only shows kalimdor over and over.

There is a teleporter pad there which takes us to Khaz'Algar, which is underground, like way waaay underground.

Niffen / Dig association. Otherwise the hat being over the eastern kingdoms leans more to the eastern kingdom revamp theories.

The opening ceremony is given a massive 2h30m slot. It is entirely possible the ceremony will only last 1h30m like it usually does and there is a hidden 1h panel right after it for Odyssey.

The hat specifically has something torn off underneath. Which makes me wonder if there's an NPC using it or some additional thing, but if it was a thing then someone probably looked into it. Lots of that stuff is jokes and meant to mess with people, but I'm retrofitting some leaks onto it to see if I can get any to work.

Mostly the reappearance of that hat is annoying me.

Okay so that "leak" is obviously bullshit and I'm not defending its validity here, but to play devil's advocate in this case the schedule only shows the start times for the panels, not how long they last. There are 2.5 hours between the start of Opening Ceremony and the WoW panel. It's totally possible that they have something like a 1.5 hour long opening, then an hour deep dive panel on the survival game (not listed in the schedule to keep it secret), then the WoW panel.
