    I mean, to each their own, but I wouldn't be too hyped for that. I don't need to have the same story being told to me for the 16th time.
    I'm not at all anti-woke or anything like that nor want i discuss this topic in general but it does concern this thread also: at the latest reveals there are people talking who shouldnt be at a reveal. It's not an easy job to do talk at such an event (even if its pre-recorded).

    I have to agree, it is a bigger priority for them to find some person of color or someone who is not presenting heteronormative than to actually pick the people who are most comfortable presenting. They might be great devs and that is what they were hired to be but not every dev can also present things to the public which is a very different job.
    HS for a while had an amazing presenter who I assumed was queer; that is how you do representation. The bigots probably hated them but everyone else was entertained AND felt represented.

    Reasons why the Old Gods will be the main antagonists of Underground expansion:

    - The Old Gods' first act upon landing on Azeroth was to embed their tentacles into the crust of the earth to try and reach the World Soul;

    - The Old Gods' ultimate objective is to corrupt the World Soul, which is located deep underground, at the core of the planet;

    - The Old Gods were sealed in underground prisons (Ahn'qiraj/Ulduar/Vale of Eternal Blossoms) by the Titans, with N'Zoth sealed underwater in the Circle of Stars;

    - The Old Gods (Yogg-Saron) created the Curse of Flesh that transformed the Earthen underground creatures into fleshy mortals;

    - The Old Gods (Yogg-Saron) have tried to conquer Azjol-Nerub, as the Nerubians are the only insectoid race that refused the call of the Old God. Arthas in WC3: TFT encountered Old God minions and even a Forgotten One while travelling through Azjol-Nerub, and their minions are again seen in the WotLK dungeons.

    - The Old Gods draw their strength from the earth, as stated by Il'gynoth in the Emerald Nightmare:

    "From the earth, he draws strength. Our earth. Our strength."

    The Earth belongs to the Old Gods, it is their domain, and they draw strength from it;

    - The Old Gods (N'Zoth) corrupted Neltharion the Warder of the Earth and enslaved him as Deathwing;

    - The Old Gods (Yogg-Saron) created an entire army of Earthen and Titanforged through the Forge of Wills and the corrupted Loken;

    - The Old Gods (N'Zoth) located and breached the underground Chamber of the Heart and almost succeeded in merging it with his domain of Ny'alotha;

    - The Old Gods have made a bargain with Iridrikon, the Primal Incarnate of the Earth.

    In conclusion, the Old Gods will be the Main Antagonists of Underground/Khaz Algar expansion.

    Yeah, it shows literally in everything (including class balance) and i dont understand why and how did this happen. Back in 00s they made trends, not followed them. Did they become to overweight after Activision aquisition? Did old guard become too fed up and old to be more pro-active?
    I heard the rumours of Odyssey being outdated already (because survivals has already passed their peak in the end of 2010s). Will they be able to turn it around? Who knows.

    I'll be honest I never felt like any of the guys at Blizzard were the best speakers or showcasers aside from Chris Metzen. No one got a room excited like him. Glad he's back.

    Trying to find 15 different people to fill your panels in order to show diversity even though some of those people seem uncomfortable or simply lack charisma is not doing anyone a service. Not everyone is Metzen and it is important to generate hype in those events. There absolutely are female and queer devs who can present content, just not sure Blizzard has any; it's not like their male presenters are any good since Metzen, Ion couldn't sell me water if I was wandering the desert.

    I am very sorry to shatter your illusion, but Blizzard rarely "made trends". Blizzard took concepts and polished them. They constantly took stuff from other games (and there is nothing wrong with that)

    HS and OW has had solid presenters as well. Ion is just bad.

    I think Blizzard presenters mostly ranged from good to great. Recently watched few panels from 2013 to 2015, and Metzen, Pardo, the guys who made SC2 and HotS were pretty well spken and hyping up.
    Later it was Ben Brode.

    There were plenty good presenters.

    Void Lords I'm pretty sure. They were so scary it made Sargeras decide the best way to stop them was to destroy everything. First Ones might be stronger.. but i'm hoping we just pretend that lore didn't happen and move on.

    Im pretty sure this is all due to the old guard people leaving, and new blood not making up for it, warcraft, starcraft and diablo had a clearly distinct thematic and appeal, but things changed into something else.

    Like, look at the guy who did art before, Sam Didier, dude is a monster, his art is out of this world, even when he does other stuff, i feel the warcraft vibes from the character design, I bet he would do a much better dragon humanoid that what the new team gave us.

    And yep, i do think survivals game already passed their peak, what seems like is the trending nowadays is "soul-like" games, and stuff like god of war, horizon and Zelda, but i can't see blizzard doing an warcraft game like that, when it would be, frankly, amazing.

    Most people will tell you that the Legion is the "Biggest villain", but I think that it is actually the Old Gods/Void Lords.

    I mean, the Legion was literally created because Sargeras was terrified of the Old Gods corrupting a World-Soul.

    Without the Old Gods, there would technically be no Crazy Sargeras, no Burning Legion, and no Burning Crusade.

    So the Old Gods/Void Lords are the overarching villains of the entire Warcraft franchise.

    The Legion simply has more screentime and looks like the more "immediate" threat.

    It used to be that the proper answer was "The other faction"

    It's the Void Lords for sure.

    Even if we think macro-macro, the First Ones set everything up but either aren't around or aren't malicious. It's implied that they're dead anyway; the Void is the thing that, while existing in it's own reality, is seeping into all other realities and trying to overtake them. None of the other forces have the means or the intent to do that.

    So even if the Light/Denathrius do show up to cause some fucking shit, the Void is the one with the real means and plan to do things. Even the Titans are pawns in whatever game Iridikron and Xala'tath are playing with the Void, and Azshara is involved in this too somehow

    It's been 20 years grandpa, we're all tired of that. Also, no? I don't think anyone, ever, would argue the other faction was the actual "big-bad" in the universe, unless you're one of those brainless PvP LARPers who shout "ReD Is DeAD" and shit blood whenever anyone tries to suggest the other faction are just other players trying to enjoy the game.

    With him you can feel the excitement and that he’s burning for the stuff he does. All the others are either emotionally completely the opposite or simply don’t care about Warcraft at all and just see it as a normal job.

    Brode was almost as good as Metzen and everyone in that team was solid. Kaplan was great for OW as well.

    The mere existence of Old Gods implies that there are New Gods.

    Who/what are the New Gods?
