The Void is also such a large theme, it feels like something that could accompany many other expansions in a much larger build up.

Lets be honest, would anyone actually be happy if we had a Void Lords expansion where we kill them and deal with them in one singular expansion?

No future expansions with void hints, no old gods, no hints at void lords. I mean, they COULD definitely still have void stuff in the game in the future but it wouldn't be like it would be after we've done it the first time. It'd be a retreading, a retelling, maybe even a retcon. I like the void a lot, but I kind of don't want to have an entire "Void Expansion" unless it's primarily dealing with like, helping K'aresh, or defeating a new old god, because the moment we kill a void lord all the mystery is gone.

A lot more people than the amount of people who liked to play the exact same spec without changes except having to farm non stop. Legion artifacts were a mini skill tree that we already have now. Same with the Heart of Azeroth, you realise we had an entirely different talent system back then yes? We don't need that back and they even said the current talent system is planned to last at least 8 years until they have to look for other ways again.

Also talent builds allow for way more variation than Azerite powers, there was always a set choice as BiS because the other powers were tuned horribly. Now nearly every class has multiple choice talent builds for every situation.

I really hope you aren't calling the Azerite system a success, because it was probably the biggest failure in this games history.

"Nearly every Class" is framing it very positively. BUT, they are actively reworking something every other patch to make that an overall reality, which certainly speaks about their willingness to move away from "Some classes still have cookie cutter for every situation", to "Individual Talent Power based on situational value is a real option".

Imo ironwasher leak makes a lot of sense. Wow is in a bit of a popularity crisis so breaking the sargeras glass in case of emergency makes sense. I still think it is fake though. Why? The heart of azeroth mention. There's no way they'd use it again. People have very bad associations with it.

If the expac happens to be void, I can see them holding off for a Light invasion until 11.2 or 11.3. Have the void focus be the start and then have the response from the light, which will be just glass the whole planet probably and get us involved in fighting both fronts or temporary alliance with the void to stop the light from going too far.
