There was no Blizzconline that year, wow had a seperate expansion reveal later.

I can't help but feel they'd go the other direction and would make it "Artificer" so they could make it use a more generic, universal tech.

Like "Artificers use TITAN tech" and so they all have a specific looking mech that doesn't change because its not race based its TITAN tech.

But that's doomer thoughts and I will cease them there.

Honestly I would be okay with it… if it was indeed a mech class like the island teams & you could customize the tech/mechs like how the boomies can.

But it’s probably a TF2 Engineer/Old school Torb kind of class where you’re building turrets/support machines.

I do think getting hyped over a fake leak will only lead to disappointment. Play with binary riddles, but don't get your hopes up over anything involved in it.

I still can't understand the "hate" for the 4 "leaked" images. If they are real, wait until BlizzCon for them to be shown in proper, high-res and hopefully, the rest of the "zone overview" makes up for the awful shots taken here.

Yeah, I agree, I keep trying to reiterate that point cause I don't want peoples hype crushed based of a couple images before we even get the real meat.

I'm having fun no matter what the leak is, but I know its not like that for everyone.

I thought the zones looked gorgeous. Sure samey compared to bfa or dragon isles but if it also includes a revamp and or killer feature i would be fine.

Even going with the idea that the leaked pictures are from both the announcement trailer and press kit, and that they may just be unexciting shots cherrypicked, it'd still be funny to me because their big money shot, the one that has "New Continent" on it, is just a shot of some misty pine trees and some colorful flora that looks like it could be from Tiragarde Sound. Nothing really new or any wow factor in the slightest, not like how many previous trailers overlay that text over some large new architecture or otherwise impressive shot.

I'm more or less in the same boat. The other thing that makes me thing that makes me think it's real is that kind of "Aggorand" thing in the background. The same one from the website leak. Now bare in mind, i'm very much looking at this with an amateur eye. The fact that it's in a different pose to the one in the website leak is somewhat pinging me a bit. From the look of it, it's a modified model on a rig of an ogre or kul'tiran. With all those extra bits that have been modeled on, at the very least it would likely have to have some level of weight painting to make sure they don't fly all over the place while it's in motion. Weightpainting isn't a convenient or enjoyable experience. I find it unlikely someone would go through that effort just to use it in essentially 2 shots. It would be far simpler just to model it directly in 2 different poses, but looking at it - I seriously don't believe that's the case.

Case in short, I seriously believe this is the "one" and if not, I am really excited for them to reveal themselves if it's fake. I'd love to hear about their process.

Tinkers is just the gnome word for it.

Whether magic is involved or not is another story, but usually is because magic tech is cool.

Artificer is pretty much just a person who makes stuff. The term sounds a lot more fancy than it actually is.

If real, they are a pretty significant step down from the strong, unique aesthetics, terrain construction, design and identity of the past three expansions.

Which is fine if they spent the resources elsewhere. Imo of course.

I'm happy with the state of wow right now, DF is a great and solid foundation for classes and systems, I don't feel like we need "more".

I just want the story/lore to be good again.

Yeah, that and the website title leak were just over two weeks out. So way earlier than we are now. We might be closer to BlizzCon without a leaked title than we have ever been? Not sure on that one, but it must be close.
