Yeah, that's overstating it a bit. She singled out assets that at a glance, were identifiable as having been used before, used the wrong reference for the leaf crown on the Dino (which Hitei correctly correlated to being a copy-paste from the smaller dino instead), ignored whole sections of each picture, after "sufficiently" making a point for a couple of reused assets, found a tree similar to the one used in the jungle screen, but not at all the same (the branch structure was different). The rocks were what broke the camel's back and confidence in one fell swoop and while it's not out there, some of us already came to that conclusion about the rocks from the literal Webpage leak that showed next to nothing.
Class seems unlikely, races are whatever now with the whole allied race idea. They don't need to build fully fleshed-out starting zones for them anymore. If the expansion is just along the lines of new zones, new raids, new dungeons, 5-10 more talent points, (which I kind of expect for some reason) I think the community is going to be massively disappointed. People want more juice than that, and regardless of how much work goes into all that art and rebalancing classes with more talents, people are going to call it a glorified patch.
Maybe not every asset but my point still stands, no? If these images are supposed to be showing off locations from a new expansion, you’d think blizzard would try a bit harder to make use of actual new assets, as has been the case historically.
Also, OT but you’re the second person I’ve seen being needlessly cruel/using hurtful language about Zelris in this thread simply for being passionate on their own Twitter account. Have I missed her doing something to deserve this? Or are do we just hate all Twitter users on here for some reason?
That person themselves said they were being driven crazy trying to figure out the rocks. Schizo Melt Down I guess is kind of needlessly mean...but like idc. Its the internet.
And no, your point does not stand. As I pointed out, and any quick search of the general forum EVER you will find thread after thread after thread after thread whining about Blizzard reusing skeletons, caves, areas, models, textures. It has been ongoing since atleast MoP as I recall a very vitriolic discussion around the Heart of the Aspects using a proto version of the cloud serpent skeleton....which is bullshit but besides the point.
Blizzard strategically reusing assets has been ongoing for a decade plus at this point. No trailers ever have showcased entirely original content from the onset. Someone JUST last night was posting random screengrabs from the Legion Overview Trailer where it was just harpies standing in Highmountain with limited grass in the background and a bit in the foreground. it looked like a bunch of reused assets but you and I....we aren't idiots and know that Highmountain was not just reused assets.
It wasnt every single asset and on top of that some of the observations were pretty off.
For example they didn't attempt to identify the ogre model.
They also claimed the triceratops was a fake due to reusing in-game assets? Yet the assets they reported as being "recycled" are also on the smaller, baby version of the model in-game.
They also outright dismiss the possibility of an upscaled gryphon statue.
I'm not saying the screenshots are right, but the deconstruction was hardly 100% nor unbiased.
Edit: Just saw other people mentioned this. I will leave the post up, but my apologies.

I don't think you are wrong, but also the gaming community in general is in a really kind of nasty place at the moment.
So even if it's got 15 new systems, a revamp, balanced classes and new raids and dungeons, but the raid is only 6 bosses and there are 7 dungeons, people would call it a glorified patch.
People are always complaining; what truly matters is the likes/dislikes ratio. Anyway, even if 11.0 fails, WoW is not going anywhere. Tonight, the Classic Hardcore OTK Tournament managed to make WoW the top 1 game on Twitch with over 300k viewers. Retail is just another version of WoW, and people will flock to whatever version they think is best.
That's why I'm still hyped for Blizzcon. Retail is no longer the only WoW.

I wasn’t trying to imply that blizzard have never reused assets, I’m simply pointing out the fact that generally, in trailers and promotional images, they try to showcase new assets/material as the focus, rather than simple reskins/edits like we’re seeing here. We don’t see anything “new” in these images, it’s all stuff we’ve seen before in one form or another.
I think blizzard are fully aware of how whelmed/disappointed the community reaction would be if they revealed an expansion that’s entire premise is basically just “here’s some stuff you’ve seen before but just a different colour”.
Do people actually think that thing looks legit? It’s literally an ogre’s head placed on top of a mok’nathal’s body with a dwarf’s beard glued onto its face. I can’t be the only one who thinks it looks awful?
The fact that the oldest object in the image, which if using the existing old model would really show it's age and tip off it's fake, is so far in the background, and the images are so small to begin with to help obscure any off details should really be setting off alarm bells.
And they have certainly something up in store for Classic. If the next expansion is some kind of asspull Avaloren trash, there’s still the next iteration of Classic (SoM) or even Cataclysm coming (Cataclysm right at launch was amazing with the very hard heroic dungeons and one of the best new dungeon slates in general - the launch raids were great, too).

1) Would be insanely interesting to read how you could turn what I wrote into an insult.
2) It is clear you see these new accounts with fake leaks as insulting you personally, which is ridiculous.
3) Leak season is clearly not healthy for you if you get this wrapped up and butthurt over things. Relax.
