Ok so I mentioned this earlier but I did some digging. This is the image the social team posted a month ago, it has a copy of the image inside itself as a recurring joke, there are two elements that are changed, aside from missing pins and threads on the small version.

The hat in the image that disappeared in the nested one, disappears. That hat was just put on the trading post. Both backgrounds of the trading post images are eastern kingdoms, next to where it says "Forbidden Sea". (The trading post images are a straight cut through the continent).

The hat, kalimdor, the 'old god?' / 'new god?'/ thing could be pushed into something to do with the kalimdor sword hole





This is kinda interesting as a way to embiggen and DOES match with the youtube music video portal that only shows kalimdor over and over.


Niffen / Dig association. Otherwise the hat being over the eastern kingdoms leans more to the eastern kingdom revamp theories.

Something like these two is my favourite leading theories. DIG + Azerite & Void Weapons, it has to be.

There's no way that Eonar and Elune, freaking ELUNE, of all characters, are gonna be used up in some little epilogue quest to close DF and that's all she wrote.

I never said they would be used up, but saying that something happening in 10.2 is going to dictate what happens in 11.0 is a huge stretch.

Elune is the last bastion of mystery in old lore and she's clearly gonna be involved with the world soul since she's so close to so many cosmic entities in warcraft.

On possible places for Khaz Algar I finally bothered with a visual aid

Look at the orange circled area. Significant fissure just by the sea (so Algar in that it forms canyons flooded by sea water)
Add it there and you can use it as a part of a South Seas expac with Undermind, Tel'Abim, maybe Bloodsail.

Alternatively look at the red circled area. Right between Tirisfal, Northrend and Dragon Isles.

I actually like the location marked with red better. Looking at the old god spread over the landmass, that area is the only logical place you would put a fifth one if you don't want it to be too close to any of the other four. There have been significants rumblings about this supposed fifth old god

Absolutely could be one of the reasons.
Or maybe Elune's interest on Azeroth attracted some other force from the Plane of Life that is far less benevolent and they are the ones who created whatever is in Khaz Algar; when the botani that came from WoD arrived on Azeroth they heard its call and they have traveled there and awakened it while the local Earthen had been keeping it contained for aeons.
Or maybe there is some ancient demon there and it will give us a reveal on what is happening at the Plane of Disorder.
Or maybe there is a Primal Naaru on the level of X'era buried there creating an effect similar to Oshu'gun and the Algarians are pseudo-undead ancestor worshipping shaman dwarves led by a council of the ghosts of their clan leaders.

Not everything has to be an OLD GOD ffs it is a big planet.

Dragonflight seemed to be setting up a void theme, with Aberrus, Fyrakk's shadowflame, Iridikron allying with Xal'atath(probably?) etc. Deathwing's (probably?) notes on the fifth old god. I'm not saying it is definitely where they are going with the story for 11.0, but it seems likely for sure.

Normally id agree, but they've really been stringing this void subplot around for almost four expansions. It's always in the background of the story adding more teases. N'zoth teased in Legion, all the N'zoth stuff in BFA, more Void references all of SL, and now this wish dot come deathwing Iridikron.

I hope we deal with it sooner rather than string it along for another one.

I wasn't making a jab, it was more of a matter-of-fact kind of thing.

Like I know there are people who like J-pop and K-pop.. but it was only until recent years that I'm hearing more people in the US say their favorite K-pop groups. (Personally, I'm really not well-versed about K-pop stuff. I just know that it is becoming increasingly popular lately, more so than in 2003.)

I wouldn't be shocked if one day there will be a Blizzcon having a Vtuber Idol as the closing ceremony.
