The funny thing is, as we move further from Shadowlands to Dragonflight, to whatevers next, we've very slowly been moving into a different artstyle (something that started a few expansions ago, like WoD), so the shift in artsyle and "It doesn't look WoW" from color and design (placements always been the same) is something that fits.
I don't know, the other leak had the courtesy of not posting something totally blurry, and looked way more Wow-styled than the other screenshots, despite people saying it's AI. Moreover his reddit acounts was 4 years old and allowed to know he lives in California, had a long interest for WoW and was quite immature. Him getting hired and leaking a picture of the expansion isn't the most unlikely scenario.
Which streaming service will you guys choose to watch Blizzcon? Which one is the best?

Warlords of Draenor is the only expansion I want them to revist but they should not ever do that due to its reception.
So much happened during Alpha that you could check out for yourself. So much was visibly changed. I am sure there is exploration videos on Youtube but it is one of the few Clients I did naughty stuff with and I still regret it to this day because of how much potential early WoD had and how much of it was scrapped due to whatever the fuck happened behind the scenes.
Honestly the best instance of something still in the game, in the Alliance Garrison there is a gravestone for 'Ray D Tear'. It was poking fun at the crowd around here who were saying the Garrison's were going to cost us a raid tier....jokes on whatever chucklefuck programed that one in because SURPRISE. We did. This is still in the game at the Alliance Garrison Graveyard. You can check yourself.
But many other things, Old Capitals, Old Ashran, Faralon Developer Area, Shattrath Raid, Old Gorgrond ( @Teriz would have loved it, it was a rail and industry hub with rail lines that were clearly meant to be going all over the continent but it was obviously scrapped). I could keep going.
I am still mad about WoD.
Oh 100% lol, when I saw it on SoL I was right there with everyone else thinking it was way too farfetched to be true. It's a good reminder that no matter the format of a true leak, we will probably never believe it. And that's okay, because dear lord did my jaw drop when it was confirmed (I believe when they went on to post a dev interview with the logo in the background, those were the days!)

It came from a QA employee, who gave it to someone else, who gave it to me, who I told someone in confidence, and then that person leaked it.
Funny enough, we were creating a guild over in ESO, had people interested, etc, but I have trouble playing the game at all now, even though I like it. It really kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.
This is a leak I can trace the providence of pretty directly, because I'm part of it. It was a 1 in a 100 situation that ended horribly and I feel terrible about. We should never get leaks like that.
I really really want a WoW Diary for the WoD through Shadowlands expansions to hear about what really happened. I never hear other people mention that around WoD's release, they said the reason for the cuts was they were changing to a yearly expansion model, then later said they changed their mind.
This is all off topic and this is a niche super special interest of mine so I will be brief, but they said it was due to switching to a yearly expansion model and having to train the staff. I think it was bullshit.
I think they originally intended it to release alongside the movie, as it was originally going to come out around the time of the movie....but then the movie was delayed by a year and some months and that is when it all went down hill. BUT THATS JUST A THEORY

Yeah, but we don't know the process of what turns a Bronze Dragon into an Infinite Dragon or how that same power can influence a Keeper like Tyr. Even the Dawn of the Infinites dungeon hides how the process works.
It's not so much that Tyr is going to betray the Titans, but rather he betrays Odyn. Odyn was designed to maintain control and order on Azeroth because of Aman'thul's design. Tyr was blessed and created through Aggramar's design, and was probably intended to act as a fail safe against Odyn.
That's my outlook on it.

Still plenty popular and its always been popular enough. Remember the whole "No flying in WoD while Heavensward adds flying to the game" drama that happened back when. Just not the absolute behemoth it was at the time.
Just not really much to talk about with it as its in a pre-expansion patch, plus current patches aren't the most exciting (Unless you like FF4)
If we want actually unpopular, I'd say New World hits that, given that game's hot mess of a development
That would be quite a feat, considering that they haven’t built up Avaloren at all in this entire expansion outside of the very blurb that introduced the concept.
Even Odyn hasn’t done much of anything in this expansion.
An expansion based on that nothingburger would be quite an arsepull.
I will always be big mad about WoD, because you can absolutely see what could have been and it is heartbreaking. It seemed to start with the 'orc fatigue' criticisms, but redesigning an entire zone in a beta (or even alpha, can't remember) was absurdly late and led to a soulless Gorgrond when it was previously very very cool. It was one of those rare cases where Blizzard should have stuck to their original plans and ignored the playerbase feedback, but alas. Then they reneged on garrisons for every zone despite getting most of the way through developing them... then whatever the fuck 6.1 was.
Whoever was making decisions on that expansion was on another planet, and it's tragic because their teams were on to something special.
This just shows your exposure to the game was through the WoW hate circlejerk. Believe me, the game is going strong outside of those cliques.
