Let's be honest here, is it realistic in a world like WoW for two factions to go to war while out there are all matters of evil things hellbent on kill everyone and ready to attack at any moment?

Unironically looks like it says "Azeroth Reborn" lol.

There's no way that's an expansion logo though. Looks worse than Vanilla's original logo.

What should never make any sense is you, the "soldier" being aware of any of those beings, let alone believing in any of that.

No, it does make sense, you are thinking in a meta level concept, the general civilian, tribe, clan or group don't give two shits about "void lords" because they can't or don't understand the concept or scale, they only care about their safety, their next meal and revenge against what happened to then, thats why faction conflict and skirmishes will always happen, to get resources or land.

Again, this worked just fine in wtlk and cata

On the matter of Blizzard giving up on the factions, I think the problem was that the Alliance player base was basically fading away. Simply during BfA they found out how few players still played Alliance, you remember the split Hall of Fame right?
But again, that's something that they've incited themselves. There's a variety of factors behind why the playerbase began migrating to Horde long-term, to the point where I think the War Mode buff was always at the max % for Alliance during SL, but that's a problem Blizzard has to solve because their designs encouraged it. If they want to go down the relatively low effort route (obviously cross-faction wasn't something trivial to work on, but practically eliminating the factions has pros and cons elsewhere) time and time again, players will appropriately invest less and less of themselves into the game and universe.

It's funny, because those numbers are recovering now.
Just because cross-faction gameplay exists doesn't mean the factions in game can't go back to smacking each other sometimes. We've always worked together, but we've always gone back to fighting after. That's sort of the point. They literally brought it up as a major theme in the MoP cinematic.

If anything, it means we can finally have content based on factions without people being locked out of it because of raid nights.

If we had such here in real life (and some people actually do), do you stop living?

    It's a figurine box.

Blizzard and other merch sellers still use the vanilla wow logo for the merch.

A large part of Warcraft's storytelling strength comes from it's diversity of cultures.
This is my please: not to westernize or modernize every single playable race and culture in Warcraft.

You're telling me that Gilneas, Forsaken vs Worgen, can't be interesting? The dynamics within the Desolate Council differing, with a potential headbutting between Belmont and Calia over the return of Gilneas to the Alliance, isn't interesting? Werewolves vs Zombies isn't interesting or aesthetically cool af?
Lots of little things could happen with that scenario that are all very interesting. Genn potentially dying reclaiming his homeland? Tess taking over things? You know what's pretty dang close to Gilneas? Quel'thalas? Isn't that interesting?

And we're also sitting on the whole Void Elves vs Blood Elves thing too, which had a warfront seemingly in development at one point and scrapped in BFA.
There's a whole gaggle of elf exiles pissed off their country is with the Horde, and a ton of possibilities in regards to High Elves, Darkfallen, Void Elves, and Blood Elves all having a massive civil war and bringing the factions into it all.

But yeah, can't do anything interesting with it.
No, you can't do anything interesting with it with a fanbase like Warcrafts. You can't have any lasting consequences because god forbid you are the loser, they'll just cry all day long. And at the point where there are no consequences, why even bother?
