It looks to me that the flaws of the upscaled version mostly stand in the original one, right?

I can deny that. 26 raid encounters is the least of ANY expansion, Cata and WoD included. 8 dungeons and 1 mega dungeon means that the dev time from raiding did not go to dungeons for sure; it has less than both Legion and BfA and the same number as SL. At a glance the world is indeed larger but I am unsure if it is actually larger when you count all the supplementary material other expansions got; SL had all the Torghast floors, BfA had multiple updated zones plus all the Island Expeditions and Legion had a crazy amount of scenario areas. And so far there have been no pvp additions.
What Dragonflight has is a lot of events in the world. That's it. It has less instanced content, less areas created, no other game modes. It is an expansion with a significant investment in base systems but by no means does it have more content even when you count poorly designed world events that reward different recolors of the same gear as content. But it also has parceled out that content in a very neat manner creating the illusion that there is always something new to do, whether that new things has any substance or not.
Avaloren‘s back on the menu, boys?
Come on, we need a flyer or logo leak today.
MAGA - Make Alliance Great Again
sooo :_ it seems dat we know shit about blizzcon if all leaks are fake or ai
Mmm, no, what I mean is... When you "zoom" in a program like your browser or whatever, a lot of programs will do a basic sort of upscale for that "zoom". That's why you aren't seeing just pixelation in your image, because a computer is stepping it at some point and correcting the pixels to make it look like a blurry image instead of a blocky one.
Here is the actual exact image at larger scale:
See how a lot of the stuff goes away? Like the curving Es or the cut in the W?
I just saw that im wearing two different socks today and i think it's a sign that new leak will happen today.
I'm still waiting for them to register a certificate for the new expansion website, sadly nothing new except classic.blizzard.com :|

I think it's fair to say that DF is an expansion where the improvements or otherwise good parts, are less obvious. Especially compared to Legion, where the improvements it made were very noticeable at a glance.
DF has done several things that were fantastic for the game overall. Dragonriding is a great improvement on flying. M+ having rotating season using old dungeons makes the seasons feel fresher. Talent tree revamp of course. Reintroduction of Vanilla content like Scholomance, Scarlet Monastery, and the Naxxramas recipes. Etc.
It will be difficult to look back at DF and immediately point to the stuff it did right, precisely because those changes will just be standard going forward.
The world revamp dream will never die!
On closer inspection of the original non-upscaled version, It is much more difficult to tell, but there are things about it that still bother me.

The kerning between the E and R in Avaloren really bugs me. I personally doubt they'd make that mistake, but I suppose it wouldnt be the first time there was an oopsy in their previews and such.
not to mention the sunshafts in the final image, really looks like it was drawn on top of the image to me.
