Calm down chief, the First Ones aren't even that offensive. They're basically scaled-up Titans created to fill the void left by making the Titans known quantities. They didn't kill your family or anything.

And their aesthetic is completely different, and only chuds hate their aesthetic.

What's even the point to replace titans by another force of order that is at the origin of every other energy? It only makes the world more homogeneous and too rational and that's incredibly boring. You don't need the first ones to present Aman'thul as a manipulative entity, you just need to have him use his time powers to pretend he was the first and create time paradoxes just to make himself look better.

Patterns mean nothing. The pattern isn't even a pattern if there are exception. Shadowlands was an exception, why can't this be?

This is not parroting, this is facts and physical proof. If you have an issue with that then it's a personal problem. It does not make any logical sense for them to add a new class so soon. The balancing is already complicated as it is.

I could see new specs being added in the future 100% in the new expansion but a whole class again is just too soon.

Shadowlands also came out at a weird time and was a very weird expansion in terms of its setting and lore that didn't much sense with the jailer and all that. So thematically speaking there was not much else they could of done class wise. Blizzard usually adds a new class when it makes sense thematically.

Demon Hunters were a big part of the story in Legion with Illidan and all so it made sense.
Pandaria introduced the padaren race and the whole easterized thing made sense for a monk.
Dragonflight has the dragon aspects so of course a new race and class also made logical sense

The next expansion seems to lean heavily on elemental and titan stuff (if the ingame lore books are anything to go off), so a new race I could possibly see.

We already have an elemental class and that is Shaman. If anything I could maybe see them adding new spec and with elemental stuff to existing classes to experience new ways to play.

The only other possibility I see is a Runemaster or some sort of a Titan class, but as I said I am not sure if Blizzard would do it this soon.

What makes you think it's not as believable? Keep in mind that original drafts for the story/expansions shift and change over time. There's enough of a foundation here for it to be totally believable. There's no way a random would pull all of that out of thin air even with lucky guess-work with what we knew in 2019.

Keep in mind the early leak of the Shadowlands map that ended up being completely different to what we ended up with.

He would've mentioned a dragon class if this was actually legit. They talked about how Dracthyr/Evoker was on the table the moment they decided on a dragon expansion because of the perfect fit for a new caster, there is absolutely no way they worked on Tinker before they started working on Evoker.

You are telling me that they didn't have 8.3 planned by 8.2? That post was made a week before 8.2 came out. None of the BFA stuff he is talking about happens yet he seems really really confident about that stuff, and all the future stuff is so vague, that yeah, it kinda makes sense. We all knew a Shadowlands expansion was gonna happen eventually, and Dragon Isles was mentioned and was a hot topic at that point.

None of the other things match up in any way.

Any leak from 4 years ago probably got at least something right. A lot of these are easy-to-guess story beats and let's not even cover the fact that Prestige Classes are a shit idea that'll never happen and hasn't in 4 years.

And, y'know, we got a new class in the last 4 years that wasn't Tinker.

The First Ones are an attempt to bring back some mystery back to WoW, after we basically buddied up with the titans. They fill the "whole" in the space the Titans left.

It can be both things. As a fourth-wall nod, the Progenitors have to remain unknowable without things getting very stupid.

AND YET - none of that even comes as close to the sin of Shadowlands' character assassination of Kel'thuzad. Whoever decided to 180 his character like they did in SL should not be working on WoW's story.

I'm pretty much over 90+% of SL's mistakes myself, but the Kel'thuzad stuff still stings me to this day.

Ya actual character assassination is worse id agree.
