Dragonflight came off the heels of Shadowlands though, and loads of people were excited to just have zones that looked normal, and was in a known location on Azeroth.
The pictures we see here just seems to imply we are going for the same broad strokes as Dragonflight again, which has not been done before either.

I agree. If the next expansion is a flop/HYPE is massively low, that's on them.

I hope it's fake just because I'm pretty convinced its real right now and If the reveal comes out and its not that my mind will be blown and I'll be so excited.

Again, I'd be excited for most things beyond the barebones "Here's 4 more zones, no new systems, no new race, no new spec or class, nothing but zones and 8 dungeons"

If the leak is real, there is probably at least ONE thing that is the real hook as the zones/expansion theme aren't it. What that is is up in the air but it would likely be a new Torghast, Brawlers Guild (just that would be sad), revamp, and/or player housing. Or a huge customization pass.

Ehh, yes and no. The Algarian Stormrider leak is about as specific a leak as we could possibly have gotten, and we got it way earlier than usual. It just wasnt a slightly longer text or image leak.

Blizz being stupid, lazy or shifting focus away from WoW (leading to a lazier expansion overall) unfortunately doesn't mean that the images are fake. It just means the images suck.

Presumably it would be a general continuation of the Dragonflight idea of fixing all the basic stuff by reinventing stuff we already had.

Honestly, I do only hope for the removal of Transmog limitations. I want more reasons to play alts.

Ehh, this certainly isn't true either.

Like, say, if someone comes in and expects a world revamp, new specs for every class, a complete graphics overall to be on par with unreal 5, and mod support and thinks it's bust if not, then nothing Blizzard is going to do will hype them. That's not on Blizzard.

Expectations shouldn't have ever been on one single option or it's done. I think some people have bought their own hype, or like.. internal hype and image of what they imagined the new stuff could be, and then anything short of that is unreasonable or lazy.

And that is on the player. not on Blizzard.

I think he's more saying, "prepare for disappointment" rather than "Be happy about it!

I either want the images to be real, but there is WAY more to them (e.g., these images are literally bottom of the barrel in comparison to the REAL MEAT of the zones). OR, for the images to be fake, and we get something else that is super juicy!

It's so funny how for every new thing Blizz has added to WoW from day one you can find someone that has this exact mentality where there's some specific point that's cutoff for what is or isn't an acceptable addition.

I think expecting something other than 4 zones 8 dungeons after they cut two expansions in a row short is not unreasonable.
